"Overrated, overcooked and customer service awful. Came to Canada for two week holiday/vacation and have to say this has/was the worst meal we had whilst here. I had the Bison Burger, which I asked for medium but was told by waitress they could not accommodate but the later the manager, when asked, stated it was fine to do. Anyway, meal arrived and my burger was WELL DONE, my wife also had Beef burger which was well done. Kids had pasta which they left as over cooked pasta and fatty meat. Look else where, they said they were busy!. Take a look at the photo..... give this place a miss unless u like well done meat!"

"Had a respectable lunch of lamb souvlaki and a beef diner kebab with a glass of Steam Whistle outside on the street porch watching all the weird and wonderful folks visiting Jasper! Wholesome and hot food and well presented made for an enjoyable lunch break as we arrived in Jasper on our first day! About $50 for two including drinks and gratuities."

"We picked this restaurant as Trip Advisor had it listed as the #1 steakhouse in Jasper and the patio is on the Main Drag in Jasper so the people watching is great.Pro's - our server was very polite. - view on the patio is amazing. Cons - my son's order was messed up twice. We spent a lot of money (ordered beers and ceasars with the meal. My son's order was prime rib with au jus on the side, along with the mushroom and onions on the side. it arrived with everything dumped on top. He spoke to the manager and sent it back. it was returned with the mushrooms and onions scraped off with au just still on top. When he raised it again, she chastised him telling him he needed to specify that when he ordered. He did - twice, and since the prime rib was so expensive we wanted it done right. - my husbands medium rare steak arrived medium well done. After the hassles with my son. he just sucked it up and ate it. He also ordered mushrooms that never arrived, but they charged us for them on the bill. - and speaking of the bill, we paid a lot for our entrees, I was shocked to see that we were charged $3 for mushrooms and $2 for sautéed onions?I rarely do negative review. At the end of the day, we are easy going. We dine out often and recognize that mistakes are made. The reality is, we rang up a huge bill and ordered expensive entrees - it wouldn't been nice if the restaurant had better customer service and made it right. We didn't need a discount, but don't chastise a customer for wanting the meal the way they ordered it (especially when they address it politely)."

"I have been to Villa Caruso's on a few different occasions, with a few different people, at a few different times of the year. Whether summer or winter the service is always very friendly and polite while the wait for the food is never too long and always arrives piping hot and ready to enjoy. You cannot go wrong with any of there steaks. So tasty. The lobster tail is delicious as well although can be quite pricey in the winter season. And last but not least the Saganaki with pita bread there is amazing. My girlfriend and I cant help ourselves but to order it as an appetizer almost everytime we go. Oh ya almost forgot! ... If you get there and its not too busy ask for a window seat and enjoy dinner and a view."

"We decided to splurge on our last night in Jasper, and so headed to this restaurant. We'd read reviews, knew there were some disappointed diners out there, but the overall reviews won out. Boy, what a mistake!Starting with the duck & mushroom tart, which was quite average, we knew we'd chosen the wrong place to have a special meal. But we soldiered on. I decided to make a meal of the appetizer portions of the Brussel sprouts and bison/boar meatballs. For $12.99, I assume the sprouts would be awesome. Instead, they were awe-ful. Everything in the dish was overcooked, the sprouts, the quinoa, the cranberries, etc., and there was not a speck of seasoning anywhere. I know the restaurant has salt & pepper, I saw many shakers on the bar, but apparently there wasn't any in the kitchen. I did not finish this dish.The meatballs were decent, I'll give the kitchen that, but not enough to save this meal. My spouse had the fried chicken, which sounded way more interesting than it turned out to be. Execution of what could have been a tasty combination of ingredients turned out to be a mish-mash of bizarreness.How bad was this dinner overall? We skipped dessert, which we rarely do when eating out, and never skip when the meal is delicious.So save your hard-earned money and go just about anywhere else in Jasper."

"Probably one of the worse experiences waited 10minutes to be seated was only seated after and would be quick the place was empty but was told they had reservations 90minutes later the restaurant was still empty). The server seemed puzzled most of the evening my soup was a little cool taste was average at best. Had the lamb shank was obviously reheated as it was cool in the middle their was a it was in a flavourless liquid?.. dessert I had the creme brûlée thinking how could they screw it up ... they did sugar wasn't melted so got a mouthful of low grade white sugar. The server alerted the manager offered an apology only after a long discussion with I guess the chef s they stared at us from afar. One of the worse meals I've had in 50 years!!! Oh they gave me 10% off WOW. I will say the front desk staff were very friendly and professional"

"We have never eaten anything but breakfast here so I can not comment on that. But for the last 25 years whenever we have been in jasper we have breakfast here before heading home. The decor was old 25 years ago and looks exactly the same now. On easter monday it was near empty with only 2 other tables taken plus a group of local men hanging out having coffee.This time it was only my husband and myself. We each had an eggs benedict style dish. Mine was eggs athabasca which replaces the ham with cream cheese and sauteed mushrooms. They asked how I wanted my eggs done and got it perfect. The hashbrowns were actually homestyle potatoes and very tasty. We were both happy. Our servers were prompt and friendly.They do serve other things beside eggs and in the past my kids have enjoyed yoghurt and granola parfaits as well as waffles and pancakes."
