"This was a birthday trip for eats. I placed an order of the curried goat soup with Vietnamese noodles. It took a little time to place the order due to language difficulities, my problem. It took an intervention by someone who understood English to nail down the order. If the noodles fell through I would have gone with the rice. I have been there many times and always order this menu item. Usually I eatin but have requested takout the last few times. I try and make the trip for about 1:30 or after 6:30 in the evening to avoid the rush and hectic traffic. I normally park down where HomeSenseis or was and take the back roads in and out. I thoroughly enjoy the spicey curry, it has a good bite, The goat has always been tender. The serving is large enough to do me for three meals I am not usually a large eater) with the takeout. When I order and eat in, I almost inhale the food and I am able to empty the bowl,"

"Arrived last night to eat on the patio. Weather was cool. One of the four heaters were on. Asked the waiter to light the one by our table. Told us they ran out of fuel. No more until next day. Poor planning for a Wednesday....What about the other heaters. Also no fuel. Yet the two that were out when we arrived, were going by the end of our meal. Didn't have my vodka. Settled for a substitute. Ordered appetizers which took a while. Dipps and saganaki. Mediocre. At least the pita was hot. Main courses came two minutes after the appetizers appeared. We told them to put them back under the heater. Came out five minutes later. Not nearly finished with the apps. Shrimp and calamari and salmon all cold. Again mediocre. $150 for dreck......... Too many good restaurants in town."

"I visited the restaurant with my boyfriend as we were gifted a Groupon to use for a quiet night out. I was a little apprehensive about going since the reviews seems to be all over the place. First off, the location is a little odd (in a small strip mall on the corner of a major intersection leading into a residential area), but don't let that bother you. Once inside, the decor is a little strange. Ocean/island themed, with stringed Christmas-type lights hanging form the ceiling, a "tree" in the middle of the dining room, and glass-topped tables with sand/shells underneath. Some reviewers found this off-putting, but I thought it was very cozy, and definitely something kids would love if they visited.So, on to the food. We had a 6 course meal. The shrimp cocktail was awesome! Flavorful and large shrimp, accompanied with a nice selection of Salad greens. The Lobster bisque was great, but did not contain any chunks of lobster that we could see. The salad was awesome! Again, with a nice selection of greens, and covered in a flavorful dressing. It was nice not to be served a run of the mill iceberg lettuce-based salad.On to the main courses...I ordered the lamb, while my date ordered the steak, and as main dishes, we were very happy with the size of portions served, and they were cooked just as ordered (Med-rare for the lamb, and Med-well for the steak). Extra points for that, since so many places that proclaim to be steak houses get this WRONG.Service was fast and courteous. The food was not "mind-blowing" exceptional, but we did enjoy everything we ate. I really liked the ambiance of this place, and would definitely recommend it for a date night. I liked that it wasn't overly fancy or pretentious, and seemed to be a great place to bring kids as well."

"I am not really a fan of the food served by Novita. I was really disappointed by what was served. The cold cuts and the cheese on the antipasto platter had the same quality as those purchased from the supermarkets. The gnocchi was mushy drowned in a cream based tomato sauce. The pizza was just okay. The rack of lamb was good especially the fried potato.Our server on the other hand was efficient, even though we were the only table sitting outside, she did not forget us."
