"Horn Dawgs has a catering company HD Events and they catered my wedding this past weekend. The day proved to be quite challenging with the venue being uncooperative and changing up the plans at the last minute. HD's staff was forced to cook all the food back at the restaurant and then deliver it in serving trays with no way of keeping the food warm. I have absolutely no idea how they did it but they managed to have all of the food ready on time and have it hot! I am literally in awe of this company. I work in events for a living and I have never seen a catering company with this kind of service. On top of having incredibly delicious food the staff were an absolute pleasure to deal with. With everything being thrown at them it would have been entirely understandable for them to seem stressed or frustrated, it was the complete opposite. They went above and beyond in every aspect of their service. I cannot say enough good things about my experiences with them. I am glad I booked them before they get too big and busy!"

"So this brown guy is being very very VERY uncomfortable to talk and be around just him sitting behind the bar gives me the shivers and follows me outside YOUR establishment while my friends are sitting outside waiting for me to get my food I really don’t like how he just stares at me while I get into my car too he’s been doing it for weeks and I’m starting to really not like it now. "I remember went I used to get excited about going to or getting take out from Swiss Chalet. That was a long time ago. It's been a few months since I'd been to one and the downward slide slowly continues. It actually makes me sad...because it used to be great. It's like watching a great athlete in decline who should retire but won't. Food was average and service flat. Don't expect much anymore."

"Original concept, 'warehouse' style restaurant with drinks served in measuring cups which is original if not a little weird. Burgers are obviously the focus, however, and the originality continues with the menu. Lots of choice, originality, choices, etc, with a good half pound burger, a little pricy but not outrageous. Unlimited fries, the first batch was good with hardly any salt, which is fine since I can add my own, and the next batch was undercooked and way too salty. I don't know how a restaurant that has only burgers and fries can undercook fries so badly but there you have it. I will probably go back some day when I'm good and hungry!"

"Had dinner with a friend of mine on Friday March 11, 2022 and loved my experience. Have lived in Pickering for a thousand years and it was only my second time dining at this Pub. I was so impressed! Wine list was fabulous and very reasonably priced. Food was terrific, I had the mussels and they were out of this world. Our server, Allison was outstanding. Place was busy, very welcoming. My weekly default is Jack Astor's; however, no longer. I was dubious about ordering mussels in a pub but Allison told me they were purchased fresh daily and even told me where. Give The Fox Goes Free a visit, they will not disappoint."
