"My family and I have been coming here for years. Our order is always the halibut and chips and shrimp and chips. That portions are generous and the batter on the fish is light and crisp, it's not a thick batter that soaks up all the oil. The shrimp is cooked perfect everytime, the same with the halibut where it is moist and flakey.We haven't had a bad experience or meal over the years, they've been consistent even when busy. This restaurant is priced just right for their portions.When dining inside, Ben is a great host and very accommodating.Jasper's definitely ranks in the top for best fish and chips spots in the GTA for me."

"The only thing holding a 5* review is the lack of seating. It was crowded and I was forced to take my food to go even though I was planning on eating in. Huge portions of fish and home cut fresh fries are always a rare treat."

"Good Halibut.. This is the best Fish Chips I have found within the area and I have been going for years. Stick with the Halibut Chips or Halibut on a Bun and you won't be disappointed (Spend the extra dollar or two). The halibut is a good, thick potion. I swear some of the other places are cutting their filets in half and soaking on more batter not the case here. The batter is a lot lighter than most places, and it makes for a higher fish to batter ratio. Also, the chips are highly addictive."

"I've been here for years. The owners are always polite and friendly. I usually get the squid and pommes or poutins. Portions are big and the food is good, I think they can improve on the pommes, although in my opinion."

"Staff were great, restaurant was clean but fish and chips tasted like they were cooked in old oil, fish was thin and they didn't make their tartare sauce it was the awful package stuff. If you specialize in fish and chips you should have a house made tartare sauce."
