"I went there again for dinner and surprisingly were seated quickly. Started with a bourbon and Calamari (fantastic) then filets, mac n cheese and salad (all excellent). We had to finish with creme brûlée and the service could not have been better. Always a favorite!"

"Very well priced food, flavorful. I wasn't in the drinking mood tonight, so just dinner. The pretzel and beer cheese appetizer was good. The cheese was a bit more solid that I'm used to, but the taste was great. I would order that again for sure. I had a Shepards Pie, which was actually a cottage pie on account of the beef, but it was pretty good. The carrots on my and my wife's plates were of varying doneness. Some were almost raw, some were perfect, and some were overcooked.. Very strange. Anyway, definitely recommend for a quick, yummy bite"

"This was my first visit to Haywood's. I have been excited to dine there after passing by the restaurant many times. The restaurant itself is cozy and intimate. They had live music that was pleasant to enjoy while dining. We had made reservations and were seated next to the bar. Very comfortable seating away from the cold! Dinner was delicious and the steak cooked just as we asked. If my review was based just on the above, I would have left a 5 star review. However, service was very lackluster. The waiter was very energetic when he greeted us but after our drink orders were taken, it went downhill from there. I feel as though we were completely forgotten about and not because he was too busy. I say that because he was seen at the bar talking to other staff, too loudly as he was told to be quiet by a coworker, making cocktails any thing but asking if we would like more bread, more water, clearing our plates after finishing entree, etc. I enjoy a long dining experience, however I do not like to have long conversations over food plates that should have been cleared over 20 minutes ago. I will go back as the food was good and maybe I will be lucky to have a different server."

"Very poor service. From waiting to be seated, to waiting for our waitress and finally waiting for our food: husband’s steak was very well done (he ordered medium). The “special” mac n cheese tasted horrible and didn’t taste like mac n cheese at all. My waitress forgot my ceasar salad, and apparently forgot other people’s orders as well since we overheard her apologizing to all her tables/customers. If she is new at her job or if she’s been waiting tables for a while she should consider finding another career choice. Such a disappointment. The Inn needs to consider hiring better/more staff if they can’t even handle a few tables (we saw a couple of customers who actually left cause their waitress never came to their table). We should’ve made reservations downtown. Now we know."

"Had the best service tonight. Rue was an amazing waitress. My strawberry lemonade was great. My husband and I both got steak dinners. He got the filet and I the Louisiana sirloin. Both tasted great. Sides were fresh and hot. Rolls were the perfect temperature . We would definitely come back after service like tonight."

"Excellent!. I had just about given up on Japanese cuisine in our area. It seems they all cut corners, cut proper service, and have cheapened the food beyond belief. However, Asuka in Hamburg gets it right! Our Chef, Joey, prepared a meal with care. He did not clang and bang the tools to much, and he had a new trick I had not seen before-bubbling onion. My scallops were perfect, the sushi was fresh and tasty, and the rice and vegetables were cooked just right, and with seasoning as well. The wait staff, including those not working our table, all took genuine interest in our needs. That is how you do it!! Many of the Japanese restaurants in Fayette and Madison county have become a huge disappointment. We will be back and we will bring our friends! Thank You Asuka!"
