"This place is SO good! I don’t understand how it isn’t super crowded and having to take reservations! Super nice people working, laid back atmosphere! My husband said it is the best butterfly shrimp he has had in east Texas, and my salmon was cooked perfectly! We will definitely make this a regular spot when we go out to eat!"

"I had been wanting to experience Wasabi for about 3 years was finally able to guilt-trip a night for Mother 's Day. ? (Note, if it weren 't for taking a back road from the motel I was staying at due to storm damage to my home, I would never known where Wasabi was located. Being it was a Sunday night (8:30pm , the dim (probably going for intimate ambiance lighting first had me question if they were open. Once inside, the staff were pleasant attentive. We were seated right away. Our server [Brandon? was prompt, polite, willing to answer questions. I ordered the Baked Salmon Roll, for the appetizer, and Kung Pao scallops for the entrée. The Baked Salmon Rolls were better than I anticipated. An asparagus spear runs through it, but it 's flavor is not dominant. The Kung Pao scallops were not what I expected. [Japanese hibachi has influenced my expectations. I can-not- say they weren 't good, they were just not what I was expecting. They taste as if they 're coated in a breading. They don 't 'look ' coated, but they tasted coated, I 'm used to scallops only being seasoned seared. I will definitely go back! ? I 'm going to try a different entrée, but the appetizer will be a staple for me."

"Absolutely the worst dining experience ever My food was cold. My steak was over cooked. Seems like someone put it in the deep fryer or something. The waiter was OK. I tipped him anyway. I don’t understand the appeal. I’ve had better food at Applebee’s or cheddars. some people say I should try the Dallas location.. oh but probably not Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1"

"Had a hankering for steak tonight, so I stopped at Saltgrass. It 's a casual dining chain, but maybe a bit pricier than other restaurants operating in that zone. It 's got kind of that 'corporate marketing shabby decor ' thing going on, where someone has studied and focus-grouped the perfect 'homey restaurant ' look, down to the fake weathered paneling, and the carefully curated 'Texas decor ' on the walls. But, you know, I don 't really care about all that. The place was clean, looked decent enough, and ultimately, it 's about the food and the service. I had a 6oz sirloin, salad, fried mushrooms and a baked potato along with a 'Ranch Water ' (Topo Chico sparkling water, tequila and lime juice). The Ranch Water wasn 't crazy boozy, but it had a nice mild tequila and lime flavor floating underneath the sparkling water. It was nice and refreshing. The steak was well seasoned and perfectly done--on one side. You can see from my pictures, the bottom half was much more on the rare side than medium rare. I don 't absolutely require my steaks to be 100% perfect--I like a wide range of done-ness (so long as it 's not way over done), so I didn 't send it back, and it tasted just fine. But it 's something to be aware of if you 're a bit more finicky than I am. The bread was warm, squishy soft and tasty. The potato--well, it was a potato. It wasn 't shriveled from sitting all night in a warm drawer somewhere, which is my biggest complaint when I get baked potatoes from a restaurant. You know they 're precooked, because nobody has time to sit for an hour for a potato to cook. But, at some point, the kitchen manager has to declare the potatoes a loss when they 've sat there too long. This one was fine. I especially liked the fried mushrooms. So often, they 're soggy. These were crisp and tasty, with a good amount of flavoring in the coating. The only thing that really kept this from being a great meal was the ambience. They had the music up *way* too loud. Like 'sports bar ' loud. Which means everyone around me had to raise their voices to have conversation. This made for a somewhat irritating and unpleasant atmosphere."

"After waiting over 15 min for our server, we enjoyed our experience thoroughly. The only negative was seeing smartphones all over, because the lighting was so dim, menus and walking were difficult for some. My husband had the Wagyu filet, I had Fisherman salad, cheese plate and the bar served the best Old Fashioneds in town. Our server went above and beyond to appease us, TY Craig, for OUTSTANDING service!!"
