"I am reluctantly reviewing this restaurant as I feel it is indeed a hidden gem. The staff are amazingly friendly and receptive to their customers. The chef always greets customers with a “hello” and says “thank you” when you leave. The food... I don’t know what to say about it. It is well priced and the portions are quite generous. And it is definitely right up there in quality and taste as any of the “higher end” sushi joints in town. The presentation (if you’re into that sort of thing—which I am not) is top notch and very professional, like almost too good to eat and meant to be preserved in an art gallery. They offer a stamp card for frequent customers that get you a free california roll after 5 stamps and a free dynamite roll after 10. One day I plan on not losing my stamp card and redeeming this offer. The interior is quaint and a bit small. The only two downsides to this place are 1) the bathrooms are a bit iffy from time to time (not always) and 2) the parking lot. My goodness... it is like parking at Walmart on Christmas Eve or Boxing Day. The lot was designed a hundred years ago when people actually knew how to drive and park their cars so that works against it from the get go. Couple that with the fact that there are several super busy restaurants and a specialty grocery store and oh mama mia! It is pandemonium at the best of times. I highly recommend Aomori Sushi if you are looking for an excellent spot to eat sushi and not break the bank doing so."

"This is one of those places where you do not get value for your money and the food is hit and miss. We've been a couple of times and sometimes the food is amazing and other times it's mediocre. I always feel a little grimy...after eating here as they don't do a whole heck of a lot to clean the floors and such even if the tables are clear. Makes you wonder what the kitchen is like. Not returning to this one anytime soon."

"The food is very good at this Japanese restaurant. They are very busy, so you may have to wait a couple of minutes for a table. They also do take-out. Lots to choose from on the menu. The service is good and the food comes out fairly quick."

"It was good. I used to eat alot of Vietnamese food and I am more of a vermicelli fan then a Pho fan so I can't comment on their actual soup. The waitress was attentive and friendly when we went on a Tuesday at lunch. the establishment was clean and it was nice and bright with large windows. We ordered number 36 which is grilled pork and spring rolls on vermicelli. It was quite good and was basically what I have come to expect. There was shredded carrots, peanuts and lettuce which was crisp and fresh and all the regular fare you find when ordering this type of food. The pork was generous and the spring rolls were also large, the rolls did not contain meat however which some places do so that can be a plus or a minus depending if your a big meat fan or not. The portion was large and my fiancée had to get some of hers boxed. I can't really think of a down side to any of this accept that for us meat fans they only offer two kinds of meat on each variation of vermicelli where as I have been to places that offer shredded, grilled, rolls and pork balls all in one. The price was priced accordingly though due to this fact and the bowl was around $8.50 where as I have paid up to $11.00 before at other places."

"3.5 STARS Well done Joe on the Cheese Benny $10.50 tax incl. . Sometimes the hollandaise at diners are a hit and miss and they nailed it. I actually enjoyed my pan fried potatoes this time. They were crispy in some parts and still soft in others and they were not deep fried like some. The melted cheddar just added another layer of goodness to the taste."

"Starter was the cliche salad roll. Decent, but over priced.Daughter had the rice noodle salad with lemon grass chicken - she said it was good.I chose the 'house special' pho, large. Not enough special, not hot enough. I would not travel a long way for this meal, but would return if I was in the neighbourhood and really wanted pho."
