"Was my first time trying Ethiopian food and I was very satisfied with the food! We dined in and ordering one veggie combo and one meat combo. We both enjoyed our food and it was nice for me to try something new! I don't know if I'd dine again again as the ambiance was not for me. We sat in an empty restaurant and the waitress was just okay. Service wasn't the best but not terrible."

"The food at this restaurant was so so good that it broke my heart that I was too full to finish it all! I hadn't had Ethiopian food for a while, and I'm so glad we chose to eat at Mesi's! We had the mixed veggie/non-veggie combo for 2 and everything was delicious! I can't wait to eat there again!"

"We came here for the first time with a Bongo coupon and asked if we could get a vegan meal, which was no problem. They were really friendly and the food was excellent, so we returned with some friends. This time we had to wait almost 2 hours until our food arrived. Most other people in the restaurant had to wait a long time. So if you have a lot of time, it's really a decent option. Otherwise it's just different..."

"My friend and I found this place while using the app TheFork/LaFourchette to search for somewhere to have lunch near Place de la République. The app promised a 20% discount and, as neither of us had tried Ethiopian food before, we were intrigued and so...made a reservation. When we arrived at the restaurant and were handed a €13 lunch menu, which was promptly whisked away when our server realised we'd booked through TheFork. We were handed the restaurant's main menu instead, which was considerably more expensive, and told that we would receive €2 off our food rather than the advertised 20%. After some negotiation, it was agreed that we could order from the lunch menu, which allowed for a starter and main, or a main and dessert, followed by tea or coffee. We ordered one each of the two starters on offer, azifa (a lentil-based dish) and keyet salata (salad), followed by key wot (beef stew) and dorow key wot (chicken stew with egg). I believe there were four or five main courses to choose from and three desserts. The food was all fresh and amazingly tasty; the seasoning seemed unusual and delicious. Although the portions were not especially generous, they were perfectly adequate for lunch and we felt the meal was very good value for money. Other than the initial confusion with the menus, the service was very good and friendly. There was just one lady working, doing both the cooking and serving, during our visit. We were the only diners in the restaurant at the time, so the atmosphere was very relaxed."

"Wir haben über Groupon einen Gutschein gekauft und sind deswegen auf dieses Restaurant aufmerksam geworden. Es sind in der nähe genügend Parkplätze vorhanden und das Lokal ist auch einfach zu finden. Im Inneren sieht es gut aus. Die Atmosphäre ist eine Mischung aus Lounge/Bar und Restaurant. Für mich eher praktisch und normal eingerichtet. Aber das ist eher Geschmackssache und ich würde es nicht negativ bewerten. Wir waren ein wenig überrascht das die Bürger auf dem Gutschein nicht auf der Karte waren. Wir bekamen den "Jackson Five Bürger" mit Süßkartoffel Pommes. Die Pommes waren wirklich sehr lecker und die Knoblauch Sauce auf dem Bürger auch. Leider war mein Peatty von einer Seite, teilweise angebrannt. Nichts desto trotz war es insgesamt sehr schmackhaft. Meine Freundin hat den Cocos-Ananas Milchshake getrunken und war begeistert. Zudem hat sie als Nachtisch den Cheesecaketoffee probiert und dieser war anders als gewohnt aber auch sehr genussvoll.Die Toiletten haben wir nicht besucht. Mit 13 € für die Getränke und das Dessert und 15 € für zwei Bürger mit Pommes und Mayonnaise (durch Groupon).Die Bedienung war wirklich sehr freundlich und man hat sich direkt wohl aufgehoben gefühlt.Wir werden wieder kommen wenn die "Jam Session" ist. :-)"
