"The cafe looks a bit dark and gloomy and the decor in the toilet is weird, BUT I had the best ever Brie bacon and cranberry sandwich here. Well cooked and lovely thick bread used to make it. The service was good and it was good value,"

"Popped in for lunch with my daughter. We enjoyed sitting outside. Great meal deal of sandwich, crisps and drink for £3.00. Cheese and spring onion sandwich delicious. Tiffin tasted fabulous. Will defintely return."

"Unfortunately Jacob's Post is looking a bit tired and in need of a bit of a refurb. Food and beer are cheap (apart from Fri and Sat nights). Been in lots of times. Service usually quite quick and there is a good selection of cheap...pub meals on offer."

"What a shame such a lovely venue and the food did look good. We arrived without a booking on a Saturday and understand its a busy venue but all the staff were rude when we asked if we could just sit down for a quick drink. You can 't sit outside, defiantly not if you 're just having a drink. There were free tables the whole time we were there but got sat inside reluctantly. We ordered a snack bowl of deep fried jalapenos which were nice and had one drink. We then left and the bill came with 12.5% service charge on it. We asked if it could be taken off and were met with WHY? you had food! it got taken off in the end but it felt like becase we weren 't booked and we didn 't sit down for a full meal we weren 't worth bothering with. Such a shame customer service lets a wonderful venue down. Everyone was rude. Service: 1"

"Disappointing is the only word I can use. This course used to be in great condition but for some reason in less than a year is gone from 'great ' to 'like playing in a farmer 's field '. Greens were in dreadful shape and the tee boxes were barely flat and most looked like a tractor had been over them. Not sure if they are trying to wind it down to get the developer 's in but it really feels like it. Very sad they are still charging decent money for a shocking course. One wonders if they have gotten rid of the groundstaff as the place is just not cared for at all. Sadly this will be our last visit as it 's not worth the money or the travel effort. If I were a member there I would be looking at the way it 's run and asking some serious questions."
