"We wanted to eat here, but the service was finished at 2 o'clock, so we had only cramped and soaked. the bar person in the early afternoon was nice and chatting and we liked the pub dog. local darts players kept us entertaining and the real fire was nice and warm. reasonably priced drinks meant that we here for 3 hours and not for one. thank you."

"Brilliant little place for an MTB trip. Just spent the weekend there and loved it, especially the descent from Fremington Edge, as recommended by Stu. All of the staff are very helpful and pointed us in the direction of the great routes that are right on the doorstep. Oh, and the cake is amazing! Would definitely recommend!"

"Small but lovely place to enjoy coffee/food in the heart of Richmond. The staff was super friendly, and we had a pleasant conversation with them while having our breakfast. The coffee was great, and I recommend the aubergine sandwich; I loved it. I’ll go back for sure when visiting Richmond next time :"

"Lovely pub by the river not far from Richmond Lock, which is interesting in itself. Try their sunday roast always good, well presented platters. Their rib eye steak,, , to die for! We got a warm welcome on arrival from the waitress, she was courteous and friendly. The service was excellent and the food was top notch, great value too! The bulk of their food is cooked on the premises. Check out their desserts, their sticky toffee pudding is awesome. Their chocolate cake with clotted cream and ice cream was one of the best that I have ever had this side of town. Parking is a short distance nearby.. but do check tides timetable!"
