"I have eaten at this restaurant more times than I could ever hope to recall in my forty-one years on the road. This is a local cafe that opens early and closes early. Taber is a farming community albeit, a very rich farming community. Irrigation...bolsters the rich soil to produce some of the best crops (anyone heard of Taber corn? . Some of the farming equipment running around in the fields is GPS guided and costs more than my house! Folks visiting the Rex want hot coffee, more hot coffee and solid eats as they catch up on the current community happenings. This restaurant has always been family run and Deb took it over from her parents. Breakfast was included at the Super 8 I had just checked out of but, I hadn't been back to the Rex since my long time account retired. It was like stepping back through time. The smell, the old tables, the loud conversation, the immediate coffee service and how could I ever forget, the crisp bacon, eggs over easy, white toast and peanut butter? It is a one way trip back to a time long ago. If you find yourself travelling through Taber and are up for nostalgia, stop in and say hi to Deb. She will welcome you with her trademark smile."

"Aug 30,22- Broke down for a crispy chicken sandwich. Was wonderful with mozzarella, bacon very worth it big chicken breast. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. Very tasty sandwich. Finally woke up made a worthwhile sandwich. 5 stars Poorest product we’ve ever had as fried chicken. Must have been re-heated several times over lunch teetering on supper rush. Won’t waste my money on it again. Very poor product and very dissatisfied"

"DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.. this was absolutely the worst restaurant experience! We came in and had ordered our food all at the same time 2 orders had come out 25 minutes later the other orders took well over an hour they had dirty tables with their own personal belongings all over, the waitress smelt like she hadn’t showered in days, and they had their own kids running around the whole restaurant, they were to busy feasting on their own damn buffet. And we had ordered pene Alfredo and we got linguini one of our guests had to bring her own salad dressing cause they had no variety !! The bill was minimally discounted, the waitress would not give us much service we had to pour our own water cause she was to busy feasting own her own food. I will not be returning ever and I would just save your time and money and not go to this terribly ran business. If I could give this a negitive 10 I would."

"We loved the new place they just opened. The dishes are prepared with care and very tasty. We love their bean and cheese Burritos. I just wish it was clobular instead of pure beans. It needs some jalapeño paprika and garlic in...diem . The soups are great and they make the most amazing hamburgers ."

"Do not come here and expect your order to be fast, warm or correct. It doesn't matter what you order, they will drag you into the parking lot and wait (Covid didn't do this). Even after waiting, orders are not warm or correct most times....Save your money and eat where other."
