"Fabulous eggs Benny, lovely cabinet food. great coffee and fantastic service from these talented and passionate owner operators. Decor is inviting and you can usually find a park straight outside. So recommended, and their bakery artisan bread is the bee's knee's!"

"Visiting from Auckland decided to have brunch based on Zomato reviews. Have to say it is one of the best French toast that I've had! Light and fluffy I liked how the syrup was served on the side so it didn't become a soggy mess while eating! The nectarine in the side gave it a nice sweet/tart balance.<br/>I personally didn't like the coffee. Found it quite dark or possibly slightly burnt? I don't normally drink my coffee with sugar but had to add one to make it palatable."

"We usually prefer some place with personal atmosphere and not place at mall. But this was our first all-vegan cafe in New Zealand, so we had to visit this. And it was absolutely awesome! Chick'n Burger and Chilly Filly Burger including fries were super big and Oreo Chocolate Cake was super tasty. There are so many vegan and gluten free options, we were like in heaven there!"

"My family and I went here after a trip to the art gallery and it was lovely. We got the small fries (pictured below) and pear and Berry slice if I remember correctly. In terms of gluten free options in the cabinet they had brownies and one other slice, plus the fries were gluten free. Fries were perfectly crunchy and my dad enjoyed the slice. Always a pleasure to go here"

"Staff are extremely friendly. The best coffee and food hands down in Dunedin. The staff put a lot of pride into their service and menu ,and it truely shows. Vegetarian and vegan options are available. The vegan cake is the best I have ever tasted. Amazing."

"I can only say wonderful things about Modaks as on both of our visits the service and food we're fantastic. The decor is wonderful with a selection of formica tables and chairs that look like they have just come from the 70's. Images on the walls by local artists. Breakfast was amazing. My monster eggs kept me going all day. My sons salmon looked fantastic. The service is fantastic. Will happily visit again."
