"Auf ein Bier ins Rosa? Und vielleicht was essen? Warum nicht? Ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Der Service ist immer freundlich. Egal, was ich bisher dort gegessen habe, es war einfach lecker! Ob nun 10 Knobis (mit extra Aioli) oder der Rosa-Burger, da wird sich sichtlich Mühe gegeben. Und das schmeckt man auch. Sonntags gibt es oft auch Braten. Kann ich auch empfehlen. Und der Lobgesang könnte noch stundenlang so weitergehen. ;)"

"This is the second time my husband & I have dined at Gendarmerie. We stayed at the hotel last September (2014) & had a nice meal so we thought we would try it out again.We opted for the same dishes we got last year - Tarte Flambee Lorraine & garlic baguette. This year we got the large version of the tarte (€10.50) & found this a more filling meal & it still tasted very good. The baguette portion had shrunk - last year we were served 5 slices each for €2.50 but this year the portion was reduced to just 2 slices for €2.90.I had a very small carafe of rosé wine for €6.80 which wasn't too bad but the rosé wasn't as sweet as I would have liked. We thought we would splash out on dessert so I got Crème brûlée (€7.80) which was quite good & my hubby got a black currant sorbet with brandy (€9.80).The staff were brilliant - lovely; friendly people. They always tried to make conversation with us either in german or in english & were very attentive. I would recommend having a meal at Gendarmerie if you are in Bayreuth as it has an intimate setting & makes for a really pleasant evening."
