"Today visited with the family. it was a very short booking, but we were given a nice table and made to feel very welcome. eating was delicious and fresh, service a good speed and prices were appropriate. desserts were amazing! I recommend this restaurant and will be back. many thanks."

"Met as a group for a family festive get together, main courses all very enjoyable. Service by the team working very positive friendly and helpful. Nice selection of wines, great views from the first floor of the sea. Avoid the deserts very over priced at £7.50. Service charge also a little shocking for groups at 12.5% for a local pub a bit much. Would have been better to allow guests to leave tips. I would return but not with a group and would also stay away from the desert menu. Main courses are very flavoursome and well created."

"I got a classic beef burger which was fantastic and came with a portion of chips that had amazing seasoning. The atmosphere was very lively and the service was very good. I definitely recommend this pub"

"A busy place which does take away pasties although there are tables if you want to sit and eat. At just over £4 it compares fairly well with a sandwich. The service is brisk and less than polite. I asked if they did cold pasties to take home and heat later but was told hot, or frozen... Not sure why anyone would want to buy a frozen one...? Also found it strange that it was card-only payments. This seems rather restrictive as we're through the pandemic now. Surely customers should be given the choice of how to pay, as they are in other places."

"Went for coffee and cake in newly refurbished Wait and Rose Cafe with friends. No cakes we fancied on display so took a couple of cakes from glass cabinet display like we were able to do before refurb. We're told at the Coffee counter we could not pay for the cakes there so had to queue at the checkout to pay for them. Only then to be told we could not consume the cakes with our coffee they were only for take away. Please either improve your choice of cakes available in the Cafe or change your ruling. I for one will not be using the cafe again"

"Great breakfasts, coffee and cake. A bit restricted due to COVID but they are adapting and doing their utmost to keep things going for locals and visitors alike. Don't expect polished but then again, who wants that all the time, this is quaint, cute and friendly and best sausage baguette I've had in ages."

"Was disappointed with the meals, after reading the reviews. Staff were pleasant and the venue had a good ambience. Starters were nice, but the mains were not hot enough. Probably been left out for a while, which does happen. However, the fish pie was not up too much. Well presented, but lacking. Management actioned it, by taking it off the bill. So that was a positive. 12.5% gratuity charge"
