"At my visit here, with a few friends I had not seen in one because I was very disappointed, service was terrible, the staff is rude and not helpful. I was ignored long before I called someone to help the food was poor, reheated veg and my friend had a steak that was not cooked as she asked. the “managers” were very busy with other guests I took as friends, maybe if I were a regular, would I be treated differently? who knows. manager had an aggressive ton opposite to the guests and their employees, which I found rude and disdainable. I also noticed a beehive on the side of the building when we were gone. very poor! very cliquey area. will not come back and warn others of these problems."

"The lady serving seriously needs to learn some manners. Never have I been spoken too so rudely, it’s not the time she has been rude while I have been there ether. You just feel welcome in a place that your spending your own money...in.The older lady working is very pleasant tho. And had I been served by her my review would be towtally different"

"Lovely cafe, with nice boutique produce dotted around. Lovely sandwiches, even gf option. Would have been nice to have more options than just sandwiches/toasties. Cakes were lovely. Kids loved their milkshakes with gliter dust on the marshmallows. Very friendly staff."

"Not exactly about the coffee, but wanted to share an example of what a super place this is..... Spent a lovely couple of days around the Forest of Dean and stopped off at Tintern on the way through. Had a great ice cream from the shop over the road from The Filling Station and unfortunately left my rucksack there something I didn't realise until I was 60 miles up the road. Couldn't find the name of the ice cream shop so I called The Filling Station to see if they could help and they were AMAZING! Vin popped over the road to secure my rucksack, then called back to let me know it was safe and he'd stay late if required to make sure i could get it back. When I arrived back to collect it, he even treated me to a cuppa! Thanks so much, so grateful for your help."

"The staff were great and the vibe of the pub was good. The food wasn't the best. Came for a roast . We had a Eton mess for dessert and it was sad. It was one of the lowest effort desserts I've ever been served and it was also expensive! So I was really expecting more. The apple crumble had no dough and the apple wasn't properly cooked. Tasted more like apple sauce than a crumble. I always hate reviewing low especially when staff is great but the food was too shocking."
