"Travelled down for the Newcastle v Norwich game. This was the 1st pub we got to and was open for breakfast and a pint! The breakfast was superb finished off with a lovely pint. The staff were very friendly and helpful. THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR TIME AND HELP"

"Honestly … don’t even bother. Not even going to waste any more time on this place as I waited enough for ping “food” if you can call it that! Disgusting how you can cause such upset over a meal. No communication. I don’t understand how you can advertise award winning meals yet can serve better at home. Staff are fed up of complaints but the only way this is going to change is a serious business plan change. Feeling sorry for anyone booked in for festive celebrations, hopefully you are not as disappointed as we were."

"Popped in here for a quick beer and ended up having a full Sunday roast which was lovely. Welcoming pub with good range of beers excellent waiting staff and a lovely warm welcome. Will def make this pub a must do when we come...to Norwich"

"I was tempted to go inside because it had a small menu, so it got to be good as a guiding principle, as suggested by many master chefs. It could easily go into disarray in quality and inventory control, bound to be dropping balls here and there if otherwise. I was proved correct with the hog pork in baguette; it looked simple but might have taken lots of skills into the preparation. I went there around 4:00pm no other customers except the owner, who was quite chatty and had a lot of depth in world history, etc. A good brain makes good foods; he means business. Cheers from Hong Kong! 1st timer for Norwich!"

"A really delicious selection of cakes with a confident price tag. figbar creates unique bite that exceeds expectations. the choice; the fresh and the aromes are well constructed. Although the prices of figbar are certainly at the higher end of the spectrum, it is expected to pay for this quality. for those who are on a budget, perhaps figbar is the place to go only to a special occasion."

"Coffee currently varies week on week. Sometimes water is too hot and burns the coffee making it too bitter. As I drink an Americano without sugar, this is particularly noticeable. It's not every week, but disappointingly too frequent now. Not a fan of the new cups bamboo and no handle. Bring back the crockery please. Choice of cakes and biscuits varies too. Used to do a yummy vegan peanut butter chocolate cookie but not had for sometime now. Will try again soon in hope things improve as I like the ethos behind the café but if not, I'll be looking elsewhere for my caffeine hit."

"I've eaten here a few times. It's nice quite, considering it's so close to the main streets. The service is always quick the food is delicious, it tastes homemade. It's lovely to sit in a historical building with lots of charm. The prices...are reasonable too."

"My favourite pub in Norwich, and not having been for 15 years I headed straight to it, knowing I had 30 minutes before its advertised closing time (more than sufficient time for a pint). However, when I get there I found it had closed early. Very disappointed! Please be aware that while definitely worth visiting, they may not always stick to their published business hours. In addition, they are not open some evenings and so it’s worth checking before you walk across Norwich to get there."
