"Heard a lot about this place so dropped in for a quick bite. Grabbed the salad and chicken katsu. Delicious. Really crunchy katsu, though it was flattened out rather thinly. The salad was delicious, fresh and healthy. Loved it. Definitely returning for their katsu roll which I believe is their specialty. The coffee was pretty good too. Little Marionette beans."

"This place is a typical French bakery located in Surry hills. In france the bakery are not always a place where you can sit and have a coffe, most of the time it is just a shop where you buy your bread and cakes and go home to enjoy them. La vie est belle reproduce this atmosphere with a little shop but with everything you need for a prefect breakfast. They have variety of bread but I would just say that the baguette is perfect and not expensive for Sydney, which is something very rare. The bread is cryspy and has a perfect taste. The pastries are also what I was expecting when I came here. Just buttery enough and so tasty. I am in love with their pain au chocolat. And if you like éclair I will tell you to give a try to the ones they have because they are really good too"

"My friend has heard positive reviews of Toki, so we decided to give him a go. It was much smaller than I imagined (about the size of a room), but I think the saying "Good things come in small packages," is true because Wow. Everything about this place from the service to the food was amazing. We went to a group of 3 and decided to order the "Funghi" as an entree. Since this entree came only with 2 portions, the waitress was enough to give us 3 portions. I am not a fan of Parmesan cheese, so you were more than happy to remove Parmesan out of my piece. Best degay I've ever had! The mushrooms were cooked to perfection and beautifully cut. The garlic taste was incredible. At this point I had extremely high expectations on the net. Once again, the waitress was extremely recommended and allowed me to have my pasta without chili (which was in the menu), she has also made the effort to ask me if I did not want Parmesan cheese on my pasta ...

"So I know this sounds very political, but I literally experienced one of the most racist and prejudiced experiences of my life. My wife and I tried to walk into the bar to have a drink. Not going to lie, we had some drinks in...us but by no means were drunk. The bouncer at the front was an African gentleman. He looked at me and said I was too drunk. I asked him kindly what made him think that? He didn't answer and proceeded to be very rude and asked if we wanted a problem. We said no we were visiting and just wanted a drink. He proceeded to ask if we wanted the police to be called. We said that is fine as we had our passports on us. He then threatened my wife and that is when I could no longer accept the rudeness and took us away. I actually am writing this review after this experience is fresh in my heart. This guard was so rude at the front I honestly can't get over it. I've never felt such awkwardness and disregard for as a person. I am an Asian American man and am proud of it. A person who can't explain himself and why he wouldn't speak to us like human beings is unacceptable. We needed up going down the street to Lo-Fi down the street as I write this review. If you experience the same I ask you write a review. Australia has been good to us but this experience was too much not to report."

"Situated in the heart of Surry Hills the cafe epicentre of Sydney White Taro brings a fusion of modern Vietnamese flavours and traditional brunch fare to the scene.<br/ <br/ I opted for something slightly different and definitely decadent with the Lobster Waffle. This was served in a manner vaguely reminiscent of Eggs Benedict with the shellfish balanced on top of three light as feather waffles and topped with hollandaise sauce and two poached eggs. Wilted spinach and oyster mushrooms completed the spectacular dish. <br/ <br/ I accompanied it with a Chai Latte that was somewhat on the weak side but certainly not the worst I've had in Sydney.<br/ <br/ The venue itself is small but with a charming courtyard to the rear perfect for sunny days in the city."

Lots of variety.<br/>I walked in after lunch and all food items are ½ empty...<br/>Wow.. once they are voted as on of the best baguette on Sydney.<br/>For today, I bought only piccolo, powered by Campos, that cost you things that I like apart from Campos coffee are the fact that they made their own pasty/bread because you can see the pastry kitchen at the back and open window for the ala crate kitchen. <br/>Decoration also lively, reminds you about being in SouthEast Asia.<br/>By the way this place is run by Full Thai Crew, so sawadee khrups, is the proper word to use to greet!"

"Love this place! I worked in this building and ate here every day. the salad, baguettes and baked. Frankreich is so beautiful and her homemade food is delicious, and very valuable. recommend this small hole in the wall to everyone!"
