"The food is homemade although not all fresh on the same day as the pizza baguettes could break windows. The man behind the till doesn't smile at all and has no customer service skills whatsoever. The older lady was serving while the othe lady was making an angry phone call in the shop and mid sentence in me giving my order she waved her hand up and down to sshhh me as the other lady was making an important phone call, a call which clearly needed to be made in private. Customers should always come first. I have been in here a few times before and never found the service great but being told to be quiet was awful. I definitely wouldn't recommend and won't be returning."

"Well I have to say I have eaten in the kings arms on quite a few occasions, but never before for a Sunday roast. The staff are always friendly and the service top notch. We both ordered the combo of pork and lamb Sunday roast. The food was excellent, cooked to perfection and the veg was again perfect not to hard not to soft. What have I been missing. I am a very fussy eater when eating out l, quite critical as I love to cook myself. I will be visiting again on a Sunday and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you all at the Kings arms."

"What a fantastic place it now is. Been a couple of times before under the last management and was ok but since Karen Gary Thomas has taken it over what a change. , my Sunday lunch was Huge !! And watching. The other people’s food orders come out they were huge too, my wife had the beer battered cod , it was the best fish and chips she has had in a very long time. Yes there is a few improvements needed like getting more staff I think but the one there all had their face masks on etc Can’t wait to go back next week for a huge Sunday lunch"

"We stopped here in our campervan as part of the Brit Stop scheme cannot recommend it highly enough. Luke Zoe were so welcoming friendly. The meals were generous in portion size and Luke even offered to cook a starter as a main,despite...the fact we stayed on a busy Friday evening. Luke had mentioned in future they hope to add hardstandings with EHU loos. Although we are not local,we will definitely stop over on our travels again."

"We come to The Bell once or twice a year. As always today was brilliant from the moment we were greeted at the bar. We were shown to our table and ordered drinks. Food was excellent. There were 5 of us and we ordered starters and mains. Excellent presentation and cooked to perfection. Fresh and exactly what we've come to expect from eating at The Bell."

"My disabled wife and I, oh yes and our cat, having been driving our motorhome for a few hours just happened across the lovely looking place, with a large flat car park. We pulled in on spec for a drink and as us motorhomers do, ask about staying overnight. We fully understand and respect either a yes or no. I opened the do of our van, for some unknown reason our cat decided she would jump out first, something she has never done before, and without hesitation headed straight into the bramble bushes next to where we had parked. This cat as any animal lover can understand is our soul mate. Straight away we tried to call, offer treats etc, but not a sound or sight. Anyway I wandered over to the bar area leaving my wife by the vehicle calling the cat. Firstly I bought two drinks, then asked the chap behind the bar about staying overnight. No came straight back, it's an insurance thing. Fair enough, oh but our cat has just gone missing so we may be here a while. Back to the van with the drinks, by now my tearful wife was getting more distressed. So I, we wandered back and forth, around this field area calling, shaking treats, still nothing. One or two walkers were very helpful in taking our number incase they saw her, suggested reporting it to the local vet as she is chipped, which we did. My wife's mantra had become we're not going anywhere without her. Good hour later, I went back into the bar to buy another drink. Different person said if it was up to them, we could stay, obviously them knowing the cat was still missing. Back to the van. So I began walking further afield, leaving my wife at the van. I was gone a good hour when my wife phoned to say the cat had returned. Overjoyed. Back to the van. Now here's the reason for the review. Whilst I'd been away, a person presumably the landlord had spoken to my wife and threatened that as we had been in the car park for more than 3 hours the pubs open all day) he would be calling the police and get us clamped unless we moved within the next half hour. My wife was in tears. I will say fortunately for him the cat returned, because otherwise he could have started ww3 so far as I'm concerned, but we we would have stayed put. Thank you The Sun ,Lydiard for your understanding and compassion. Whether or not this review puts any of your prospective new customers off, I don't care. WE WON'T BE BACK"

"Birthday visit to salisbury and held here for a meal with my man and my dog allowed, in them were beautiful staff not thank georgia and lex enough that they were fantastic and eating was simply amazing! very recommend to everyone. thanks again for a pleasant atmosphere and wonderful time."
