"Well, I just would like to mention that it is one of the few that are actually opened when you leave to go to the touristic attractions and that is a pretty good thing. The food itself is what you would expect from any other to-go type of café. The food isn't remarkable but I can't say it is bad. What made me happy were the wooden spoons and sustainable cups and straws that they offered. That made my day. Just right next to the multiple hotels, which is a must. Really good, overall. Nothing that special that makes me choose this café over another one."

"Tried Toff 's on the off chance as we were fed up of the usual places we go for breakfast whilst having a city break in Liverpool. As we were trying to look for somewhere off of the main streets near the Premier Inn (on Vernon Street) we wandered down a small but very posh looking alley next to Moose Coffee on Dale Street and ended up in a sort of Mews type thing with Toff 's Bar and Brasserie right in front of us. We had a quick look at the menu in the window and decided there was enough choice for me (I am vegetarian) so we went in. There was only one other table occupied as it is in a very quiet location and we were there quite early so we opted for the seats in the window. (3 of us dining in our party). A very pleasant lady came over and asked us if we would like a drink whilst perusing the menu. I opted for an orange juice with no ice; my partner had a coffee and our daughter chose a Sprite. The drinks were promptly brought over despite another few guests coming in and asking for bits and pieces. After a few minutes we had decided what we wanted off the quite plentiful menu and the waitress came over to take our order. I plumped for scrambled eggs on toast but asked if I could have baked beans added, to which the lady agreed and asked if I wanted brown or white bread. I chose brown. My partner asked for the full breakfast and our daughter opted for the bacon and scrambled egg panini. After approximately 10 minutes or so, the place was a lot busier, although still pleasantly quiet noise-wise, our food was brought over to our table. We were all pleased with it visually as the helpings were plentiful and everything seemed hot and well cooked. We tucked in right away and all were very very pleased with the taste of everything. Usually I can find fault with either sloopy scrambled eggs, not hot enough, burnt toast or whatever but there was literally nothing at all wrong with my meal and I was very pleased with everything, to the point where I almost felt like licking my plate!!! My partner 's full breakfast comprised baked beans, 2 sausages, 2 rashers of bacon, a slice of black pudding, mushrooms, fried egg, grilled tomato and 2 slices of toast, which let me tell you, did not touch the sides and it was almost gone before I had time to ask how it tasted! He too, wanted to lick the plate!! My daughter (usually a fussy teen where food is concerned) demolished her panini within a couple of minutes and said (and I quote) 'this is the best breakfast I have ever had '... so I can safely say that despite my initial reservations about it being rather quiet in Toff 's which is never a good sign...I was wrong!! It is lovely and clean, well looked after and has been there for the past 20 years we found out when talking with the owner. We paid the bill happily, which was around £14-£15 for 3 large drinks and 3 very filling breakfasts. So, in summary I would very heartily recommend Toff 's for all ages, families, vegetarians and everything in-between as there is plenty for everyone to choose from and everything was literally cooked perfectly. We will definitely be going again the next time we are in Liverpool."
