"Spent a week in Tauranga and became a regular guest of this cafe. I loved the vegan options they have, in particular that great salad one of the girls made me on the first day, when I arrived after the cabinet had been raided during lunch! Super yummy, with fresh greens, roasted veggies and an excellent creamy cashew dressing. Oh and for breakfast, the banana-dates-walnut scone with a fresh summer smoothie was perfect too! Or... that tofu and mushroom filo pastry (sooo creamy) with a nice salad... or... OK you got it, everything was really good. Plus, the place is nice, near the centre, the prices are more than OK and the people working there are nice."

"Cool building style eating. the pure win (12h brat brioche burger with kumara miso and poached eier) was one of the best burgers that I tasted, and they did not have on the flesh, that was a big bonus! the whole food salad was plentiful and tasty. also had the gluten-free caramel disc, which was delicious and a great sweet tasty to finish the meal."

"I loved the place. the personal was amazing and very good customer service. we had a little accident with my drink and although it was my fault, I got a free refill. I was really impressed by their presentation, customer service and amazing eating. the food content is also very generous. I earned every dollar. will go back there."

"I had the vegan zucchini noodles and a almond milk matcha latte here. The flavors were fantastic! There were some other clearly marked vegan options, and many vegetarian options that could possibly be made vegan (I did not ask). The service was friendly with cozy decor. I would definitely be back next time!"

"Food was beautiful! Cooked to perfection. Loveee that I can order/pay online am sent a text to let me know when it'll be ready. Love the $9 special, perfect for one person and the fish burgers included are BOMB. The Cinnamon donuts are my fav -better then the chocolate! The smorgasbord is a lil on the pricy side but damn is it good."

"The best eatery on the Strand, stayed in Tauranga 2 nights, lunch both days at Cornerstone, can't fault the service, great food and a full selection of ale on tap. Other eateries nearby no very busy, lots of diners at Cornerstone."

"I was told about this bakery....and today managed to get there....small shop but really only a slight understatement of the quality of their products. Firstly their almond croissants are to die for. Choice of breads....outstanding and their counter food very appeasing. Their pies are some of the best I have tasted.....apart from my moms bacon and egg pie. Their coffee is also something to write home about. I will be back."

"Have been there twice now and while the first visit (in December) was a bit better than the second, both were good experiences, great atmosphere (like a more sophisticated Imbibe), I ordered the calamari it was fresh (not frozen deep fried crap) and was meltingly tender. The waiter was ok, had a good sense of humour, and offered our 2 year old some colouring sheets and crayons. We really enjoyed our food, wine and overall experience and will go back again for sure."
