"A very atmospheric Pub, a very nice bar with lots of colorful drinks. I was there on 2,05,2020 with my fiancée and two friends. It turned out that on that day you had to have a reservation but for the waiter it was not a problem and in a fraction of a second he found us a table. I also recommend Toast with cheese and garlic butter."

"Pub extreemly understaffed. We waited over 10 minutes for anyone 's attention. One barmaid, dirty glasses piling up on the bar. Once seated another long wait for food. Asked the waiter for water which didn 't come. When the young runner brought out our roasts he didn 't bring and condiments. Managed to catch the waiter and asked again for the water, mustard, and extra gravy. He looked exasperated and asked if we 'd asked the runner for mustard. I told him the young lad had disappeared without checking if we had everything. He snapped and asked if we knew how busy they were! To add insult to injury, we were then charged £1.50 for the extra gravy!!! Luckily the roast was pretty good and the coffee was excellent. Corfe Castle is a beautiful tourist spot and being one of three main places to eat in the village, The Bankes Arms really need to up their game!"

"Visited with a friend early on a Wednesday evening. We felt the building’s exterior somewhat belied what lies within. There is a large, modern dining area with an inviting garden beyond. As a previous reviewer has said, turn up very hungry … we both had...the fish and chips possibly the largest portions ever, hot and beautifully cooked. Waiting staff were friendly and efficient. We would have no hesitation in eating there again."

"We always visit this pub in the nice weather to take time out and enjoy the amazing view. Staff are always friendly,food lovely and the world feels a million miles away. We nickname this pub the chicken pub as there are always chickens roaming around...in the beer garden which is fsntastic."

"Beautiful small pub with a large garden area and play area. would definitely recommend for families. service was amazing, our waitress was brilliant and nothing was too much annoyed. the food tasted very good. only the lighting wasn't great, but this is just a nod really."

"The Kings Arms is everything that a good pub should be. Cosy and friendly with attentive staff. The landlord knows his ales and had handpumps each serving quality beer. I tried all were on excellent form, with Ringwood Fortyniner narrowly winning my Beer of the Evening award.We had lovely meals, then their pièce de résistance', mum's homemade Dorset Applecake; a dessert to die for! Book early and go: you won't be disappointed!"
