"Went in for a drink over the weekend and didn't get served. Went to the bar first and was told by the person behind the bar that it's table service. We sat down and she served people around us but not us. Waited 15 mins but no luck. Decided to walk out. It's a shame as it looked like quite a nice place. I was going to bring a number of clients there over the next few weeks but first impressions......."

"Most of the restaurants in Wengen are hotel restaurants and, as non-guests, we like to look for restaurants that don't look too much like hotel restaurants, if you see what I mean. The Silberhorn restaurant is nicely set out, the service is good and the...food is traditional fresh Swiss fare, which usually involves cheese and potatoes in various combinations. It also has an attractive roof terrace with views across the valley. It's not a stand-out restaurant but it's certainly worth a visit and one of the better places we found in Wengen."

"On a snowy day when it was hard to get up too much motivation for skiing in a whiteout, this place provide welcome refuge and a roaring fire. It's just by the Wengernalp train stop and a very short walk up a hill. You are greeted with the sight of an authentic family-run Swiss Alpine hotel when you walk through the old reception & into the main communal room. It's a very charming mountain inn that dates all the way back to 1865. A few glasses of red wine, a few bowls of nuts and a warm of the aching limbs was just what the doctor ordered."

"Don’t expect anything fancy but this is a place to dine with a bigger group when you are out for fondue or raclette. Both dishes are okay (but what can go wrong) very good selection of local beer. Service is somewhat slow but fry. Overall...very reasonably priced."

"Excellent staff, service and food, with outdoor area next to the Lauberhorn mens downhill finish point, so ideal for skiers. We found it pricey but considering the location it was great for hot chocolate and soup."
