"This is a review for the restaurant of this hotel. Knowing the chef is Japanese, I ordered the udon bowl. Hands down the worst I’ve had in my life and I travel to Japan often. To add insult to injury, expensive. I didn’t give one star due to location of the restaurant."

"Our last night in Mürren we walked the town looking for something more authentic local and less touristy. As we looked at the menu outside another couple highly recommended the game dish they had the night before. We had been watching the wild chamois grazing in town and saw it on the menu. I normally am not a big fan of venison but we both got the 3 game dish which was venison and chamois. Amazing! Best meal in Switzerland! The family run restaurant was great, the husband cooks and the wife was so nice and personable, explaining our choices. We were sorry we found it on the last night in town. Though pricey, it was well worth it!"

"We had several times this lunch in the mountain hostel . beautiful location on the back terrace, great view, simple menu, but pizzas are amazing, all homemade and very fresh, with a cold local beer, we would go in spite... come and return, thank you"

"We had previously booked our accommodation at another hotel in Wengen (part of a chain) but wanted something special for our family Anniversary Meal. Chose the Hotel Falken from online recommendation and sent an email. Received a prompt and warm response, a selection of excellent menu choices and arranged to discuss details when we arrived in Wengen. Met by Jenny Cova, the proprietor’s daughter who made us feel immediately welcome. Chatted over the proposed Anniversary Dinner and the special requirements of a gluten-free meal for our daughter. Tasted the suggested wine and enjoyed a relaxed coffee while we chose the final menu and our table. On the Anniversary Day, the meal lived up to all our expectations. It was superb. Jenny had produced a specially typed menu for the day that said it all. This is a family-run hotel that knows how to welcome guests and provide excellent personal service. We had a look at the rooms and wished we had booked our accommodation there. It seems that guests return year after year. We can see why."

"In the rule we drove from the gslide Alps (top on the cable car from Lauterbrunnen) to murren and then drove back to winteregg to drink drinks and eat. the apfelstrudel was delicious, but their meals are also excellent. there are many things to keep...the children occupied- trampolin, table tennis, swing etc."

"We are here for dinner twice at our two-day stay in Lauterbrunnen. It had the most vegan options on a clearly selected menu. The staff was helpful and friendly and the food was delicious. There are not many options in the city for a vegan dinner and we have it here so much we came in the second night. It is nice to have other options than a veggie burger that seems to be the mass of the city. I loved her lentil stew."

"We came across this place on our last morning in the area. we caught the gondola up from Lauterbrunnen and then the train to Murren and then the cable car to Gimmelwald. We popped in for some quick refreshment before heading back. What was lovely was the barman came from Cornwall not far from us and my husband ended up having a good chat about rugby. Will definitely call again next time!"
