"Called in on Sunday on way to Oxford. Asked at if had table for Told big order in, could take order in about minutes. Finally got food at If it had not been a special trip taking daughter back to college would have made a fuss and left. Terrible experience and not even offered a free drink or bread basket. Never again."

"Fantastic Food and atmosphere. Sit outside next to the river and watch the boats travel through the lock. I had the steak and ale pie (like Shepard pie) and it was fantastic. I ordered a side salad as well with house dressing. The salad was made of fresh spring mix, tomatoes, cucumber and onion. House dressing was very good. Plenty of beer on tap. Certainly a hidden gem."

"Rooms are beautifully decorated and the remote location makes it so quiet and peaceful! Breakfast service was sadly very slow, I think only two members of staff were working. Took about an hour to get our food!"
