"We arrived were we greeted warmly. We ordered our food which took awhile to come which we didn’t mind as thought everything would be cooked freshly as it normally is in Malta. We ordered a Maltese Platter off the main menu to share for a starter. When it arrived it was 2 sausages cut in half with 4 breadsticks and barbecue sauce! Which cost 12euros! this definitely was not what we’ve experienced before with a Maltese platter. Our main meal arrived, my partner had steak and I had fish, the steak was cold, overcooked and chewy and my fish was over cooked and cold. As we walked into the hotel we noticed that the residents were choosing their meal from a buffet, I then thought it wouldn’t surprise me if our meal had been picked and bought to us off that buffet too! When the waitress arrived to collect the plates and asked how the meal was I told her it was the worst meal I had had on the island and we wouldn’t come back again. I said this to her quietly but firmly so not to embarrass her, although I did see another table take her drink to the bar 3 times for them to correct it! What we should of done in hindsight is, as soon as we saw what the 1st course was like we should of got up and left. Just to say we had a Maltese Platter 2 nights later which was absolutely superb and not a breadstick and barbecue sauce in sight!! and the cost was the same."
