"We have came here 8 times in a matter of about 6 months-1 year. The food has always been good. I wouldn 't say it 's the best bbq I 've ever had but it 's good for corpus restaurants. Now the reason I 'm leaving this review is the lack of supplies and the horrible management/service I have encountered while visiting Salty Oak. I had a sit down with the new Manager Mark last time I brought our family for a Mother 's Day lunch. I explained to him that even that time that I was there they were ALWAYS out of an item. Whether it be sweet tea, pickles macaroni, it 's multiple things. He told me that he would assure that this get brought to the owners attention and they would be stocked up. Well again today I brought my girlfriend to eat when we were going to go to Rudy 's since we live closer to Rudy 's but we went to Salty Oak because we had a good feeling about the new Manager Mark. Again today they were out of traditional pickles like your everyday bbq place has and the drink machine was down. We didn 't get service until 15 mins of sitting down and that was after speaking to Mark making sure he knew we were back to visit and eat. He could not accommodate anything with us not being able to drink what we wanted and when we got up to leave and told the other manager with glasses and a mustache that we would never come back and he said that 's okay you 're one in a million, it won 't hurt us. If he had accommodated me for something he would 've probably kept me as a customer but not only did you lose out on the entire meal we didn 't eat but a customer and a whole bunch Of people to follow. Take care and GOOD LUCK Maybe this is why we are literally the only people in the restaurant each time we go and y 'all had a tv promotion going today to help boost business."

"I traveled far beyond the usa, and a lot when it was invented in the southern ca, where Tri-Tipp was. I have to say, from the hundreds of bbq places where I have eaten, this place down is the best drawn boar ever. and the lamina is definitiw a top 3. but who cares about it. I'm filling in meat!"

"Ordered from.Uber Eats, brisket was cut in bite size chunks. Meat barely even covered 1/2 the bun. Meat was drowned in a much to spicy sauce and the buns were burnt. Potato salad was tasteless mush containing the skin."

"Best barbecue in town, the ribs are just the top notch, the brisket is juicy, tasty and very tender, their chili and corn bread are just Texan all the way and delicious too... If you want to try it you need to come by early otherwise they will be out of ribs and brisket as early as 1 pm if not earlier, they close 2:30 pm. Congratulations Bottomless Pit BBQ you are the best I have tried in years!!!"

"My fries were not filled up at all. I got a medium fry and it was filled like a small! Also asked for a certain amount of sauces and got half the amount. And my chicken sandwich was messy. Chick fi la doesn't usually have this many problems but they were slacking today."

"I've been to Rudy's before, but this location was by far the best! Great customer service. I suck at names but to the cashier who took my order you rock girl! Keep up the great work! Excellent customer service. The lady who kept the dinning area clean kudos to u as well, definitely coming back and highly recommended. Jalapeño sausage is a must try!!!"

"Brisket was good. Chicken had good flavor but was dry. Pork ribs seemed to be from the day before. Dark and dry. Beans were good, potato salad had too much stuff in it, just not for me. Friendly staff and prices are reasonable. Would go back."
