"If your looking nice little place to golf this is the place , Great breakfast , drive a bucket of ball and off to the course , or do 9 holes and have a great lunch and cold one , price is right beer is cold then go on and the back nine. Have beer on the deck after very friendly staff"

"My partner and I went for the new improved buffet. The service was terrible, there were only 6 patrons in the restaurant upon arrival. They didn 't keep the food stocked properly and 2 of the dishes tasted off and over cooked. Upon leaving our bill came to over $50. Turns out they jacked their price from $16 to $24.99 with no signage indicating such. Horrible service, horrible food and atrocious price."

"Lack lustre meal , dishes were very salty and average servings with ingredients in the specialty items I ordered . Ordered wonton soup , special house chow menu , chop suey , and fried rice not much happening in the taste category on these ....Dried garlic pork was just that , deep fried to death and the deep fried prawns were coated baby shrimp . Spent on this and won’t return . !Bamboo inn in Comox by far beats this in flavour , serving freshness and price ."

"Take out was terrible. The veggie chop suey was a plate of broccoli. Had to hunt for the couple of small slices of carrot and a couple of mushrooms. The fried rice was rice with soya sauce. Had to hunt for anything else. Saw two peas on my plate and a couple of tiny pieces of pork. Will not order from there again !"

"We stayed for seven days self catering in Red Roofs of Royston (great accommodation) and used this pub quite a few times either just for a drink or more often for food as well (it was only a few hundred yards away). It has a great selection of local, national and international beers and ciders and we did sample quite a few. They also had some quite nice wines.The food was fantastic and reasonably priced and I can recommend the home made soups and really great deep pan pizzas. They have many specials on offer and have some great fun entertainment including live music.A great pub which is a credit to the landlord and local community."
