"This is what TLC tastes like. Passing through town, we picked up cheeseburger baskets for lunch the tomatoes were red! plus a couple of fried chicken dinners for later. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and fried and the sides were exceptional. From the greens, to the broccoli cheese casserole, to black-eyed peas to mac cheese, it was obvious that there were no shortcuts in the preparation. Even the red velvet cake was made from scratch, both dense and moist. Hallelujah, even the cornbread was authentic and unsweetened! Sandwiched between a convenience store *not* inside the Cenex/KCK gas station, as the listing originally alluded and a laundromat, you will find this warm and welcoming gem serving up honest-to-goodness Southern and Soul food dishes. Tips: Their voicemail menus, options, and website may not be up-to-date, given these ever changing coronavirus times, so call ahead and speak to a real person to confirm hours and buffet menu items for the day, if that matters to you. On our visit March 31, 2021 , indoor seating and takeout were available and masks were required thank goodness . Can 't wait to go back the next time we 're passing through Johnston."

"First thing first?tipping should be optional! There was a group of us (3 adults and 2 kids). As we walked in we didn?t even receive a greeting. They asked us ?5 people?? Then they didn?t even bother to serve water to us. Gave us 5 empty glasses and aother of water. Are they that lazy that they won?t pour water for us? Isn?t that the point of having a server? Then they refusedto bring out our vegetables. I had to ask 3 times end we finally received them. They would not come to our table unless I raisedmy hand. And to top it off they added a 20% tip to the bill! Typing should be optional especially when the service is this bad!I will never bring my family or friends there again! There are other Korean/Japanese BBQ better than this place."

"This place is a real gem when you are itching for some chicken. Everyone will tell you the food here is without a doubt amazing. Pops sauce and the homemade garlic Parm are winners for me but they got dozens of flavors to try. What I enjoyed even more is the hospitality that my party received from Johnny and his family. As long as they're around, I'm bringing everyone I know around."
