"After a very late night the prior night, the following day had been sluggish to say the least. However, definitely the highlight of the day was dining in this very unpretentious restaurant.There is much hype in London right now about BBQ food; it's definitely the flavor of the moment. However, in the Philippines, it's staple fare for generations and at Zeelong, the simple fare is extremely well delivered. Many restaurants try and offer too much choice and delivery is faulty, but with this small menu, delivery is perfect.This restaurant is only small, seating perhaps 50 covers, most of whom, I am led to understand, are students who dine there at lunchtime, so the evening that we went, was quiet, but looking at the beauty parade of photos on the staircase when entering the restaurant (and yes I fear that my mugshot will be up there, if it already isn't!!), I'm sure that the night that we visited was not normal.My host knew one of the three owners, but as it turned out the other two happened to be in the restaurant too, so we met the whole management / ownership team. Nothing was too much trouble for the waiting staff, to ensure that customers experience excellence.I must admit, whilst my host drove there without hesitation, I felt it was a hard place to find - a bit of a hidden gem, but I'm certain, word of mouth of the teenage and early 20s generation, means that it's only hidden from the likes of me!!If you find yourself in Lipa and like BBQ food, then this is the place to go.Enjoy!!"
