"A nice afternoon tea on a very cold and windy Saturday afternoon.With the family walked along to the lighthouse and then on our return to our car we dropped in for afternoon tea. The coffees and hot chocolates were delicious. The biscuits and cakes were likewise delicious. Well worth a visit."

"I came here by chance a few years back and had an amazing whole BBQ schnapper. Great value, well cooked and memorable. I came back a few times and it was still good but over time it has become more expensive and the quality has deteriorated. The seafood platter is mostly chips and deep fried bits and pieces and the lobster my wife ordered was just awful and very expensive. I hope they reverse this trend because I like coming here but it seems from other reviewers that it is throwing away a promising start."

"We paid $56 each for the BBQ selection which gets a plate of salad varieties and chips. You then have choice of chicken, beef, lamb and pork. The cheaper fare comes first so I was holding back waiting for the better quality beef and lamb. It didn't get there. It was not choice grade and was disappointing overall. Next time I could spend that on a really nice steak and sides somewhere that specialises in it. I must say the staff were excellent. They were let down by the offering."

"As a zöliakie I felt safe here. prefer the dirty rascal over the rascal burger. chicken options also beautiful. fries a bit too salty I will ask for less next time. only disappointed there is no gf dessert."

"Lovely atmosphere and convenient location. Close to Crowne Plaza Hotel, just near the roundabout. 5 of us attended for an early breakfast. The staff were attentive and accommodating. The place was busy, but service was still excellent. There is a good variety on the menu ranging from breakfast burgers to pancakes and a big breakfast, coffee and smoothies are great. Size of the meals was perfect. This is the second time we have been there. Would we go again ..... definitely! They also have a good range of healthy takeaway wraps etc for lunch."

"I've tried to sample as many local pizza joints as possible and Hunter Gourmet Pizza is still the best. It has the best tasting pizzas whilst also being cheaper than its competitors.My only warning is be careful of the online ordering system. I've ordered pizzas from the Newcastle store before only to find out the store is closed. They ended up delivering from New Lambton and were most helpful."

"Great breakfast, possibly the best scrambled eggs ever, light and creamy. Great service it was no trouble to add avocado and feta to complete the perfect breakfast, delicious! If only all the food we ate left us feeling this good, how perfect would life be!"
