"We tried several Mexican restaurants near the marina in Puerto Aventuras. Nothing came close to the value and quality. My husband and I normally split a meal and still had leftovers for lunch the next day. Lorenzo, our main waiter, was extremely friendly and helpful. Sometimes the restaurant staff near the marina comes across as pushy because they are trying to get you into the door. (There are so many options in that area.) I didn't feel that way at Papacito. I enjoyed it so much that when I would see people glancing at the outdoor menu, I would encourage them to come in and give it a try."

"I cannot say enough about the fresh, delicious meals offered here. Incredible views, attentive staff and owners. This is by far my favorite place to eat when visiting Mazatlan. If you're looking for fresh food, lots of salads. The chicken sandwich with peach salsa is my favorite. They also have great coffee concoctions!"

"Based on what we'd read on Trip Advisor, the night of our arrival we walked over to check the area out and see about dinner. Since we'd read that they make the best seafood Ceviche, we thought it would be the perfect thing to order.Well, our fab waiter ( such a character!) Guillermo came back to the table laden with a huge platter bearing this wondrous food group. We were super hungry, had fab Tamarind Margaritas and started digging in....total silence at the table. It was so luscious and loaded (with fresh fish, shrimp, scallops, tomato, fennel, onion, lemon juice) topped with a perfectly fanned out ripe Avocado, that we couldn't even do anything but scoop a helping onto the freshly made tortilla chips and eat, wash,rinse,repeat!Then, occasionally we'd say " Oh my fricking god" or "Crazy Great" or "best ceviche I've ever had" or " no wonder mine didn't seem great when I made it at home".It was just so perfect in every way, the ingredients stood up and spoke for themselves, no excessive horrid seasoning, nor Lime juice over soaking, nor soggy tomatoes nor squishy seafood.We loved it so much, that we've gone back nearly every night for this, and finally some other dinner menu items.You simply cannot go wrong ordering this delectable circus of flavors on a dish!We took the remainder back to our condo and the next day, picked at it until it was gone."

"After reading these reviews, we walked the entire length of Calzada Puerto Maya and never found this place. Today, we walked again, with the address (M8, L20, Local 3) on a piece of paper. We found the address marker for "M8 and L20" and saw the building houses 4 business, three of which are functioning (and one business is not). These functioning businesses are: Willy's variety store, Mini supermarket (Local #2), and Adventure Fitness. Next to the mini market #2, is a closed up and shuttered business, all identification is removed from the store front. We asked the mini market owner if the business next door to him was still functioning and he replied that it was not. No more, all gone. Cerrado. Anyway, I hate to be the bringer of bad news (seems I have done a lot of that lately). Sorry.The reviews made this sound like a place I would frequent very often; I imagined it to be maybe like the El Pollo Loco chain in the USA. In the meantime, I suppose we'll have to continue buying our rotisserie chickens from Sam's Club.This business would have (and in the past probably was) been located down the road from the big pedestrian cross-over bridge. This is in the ungated part of Puerto Aventuras which is on the other side (Caribbean side) of the highway. No regrets, even if the business wasn't there anymore. It was nice to see such a busy, thriving community of people living, going to schools, lots of small businesses we plan to frequent, and all so close to the Super Chedraui supermarket."
