"Fabulous lunch at the Fleece today all had pie of the day and it was wonderful. Great friendly staff very helpful and happy to have us in for lunch unlike the Kings Head! Just a wonderful time had by us all thanks again staff at the Fleece"

"The recent refurbishment has been a success resulting in beautiful surroundings, the food is excellent and yet quite expensive and the staff are lovely, however, the management have now lost control totally in relation to a group of young males who display a constant disdain towards basic manners, norms, values and acceptable behaviour. In just two nights recently, I witnessed members of the aforementioned group drinking in the beer garden without shirts on, upsetting fellow customers within the bar with extremely loud antisocial behaviour including the regular use of offensive language, rudeness towards members of staff and finally directed verbal crude abuse towards myself whilst I was ordering at the bar. I have appealed to the management on different occasions for control measures to be implemented in relation to this group, but they are clearly Ill equipped and/or far too intimidated to offer any support. It is with regret that myself, my partner and a number of close friends will now be taking our loyalty (and money) to alternative establishments. We wish the Eliot Arms good luck for the future with their ‘chosen’ clientele!"

"We ordered a Fish pie £18.00 and a Fish and chips £14.95.The food soon arrived I tipped out the Fish pie onto the plate (as it is usually red hot but on tasting it was only warm.I asked a young lady to heat it up please . It was soon returned a lot hotter ,what it came with was very unusual green beans and a dark strong cabbage (Yuck not many people like strong cabbage .My Fish and chips was ok except the fish was very thin and small . My wife then ordered a Pear and almond tart with ice cream £7. nice but very small . This was our first time of not being happy with the meals ,it does put you off of returning ."

"As a family with two young children, we absolutely love Magic Beans and also really enjoyed visiting the play area when it was last open (Hocus Pocus Play). The cafe itself has lots of toys and colouring sheets available to keep the children amused while...you are waiting for food, and the food is delicious! The children's menu has lots of choice and my kids especially love the children's pancakes with fruit and yogurt and also the nibbles platter with various fruit and veggies and dip. The sandwiches are delicious made with fresh thickly sliced bread (favourite is bacon brie and cranberry) and are very filling. The staff are super helpful, welcoming and great with kids and the entire experience is very family-friendly. Hocus Pocus play is a small but perfectly formed area ideally suited to babies, toddlers and pre-school children, with lots of sensory play and areas to spark their imagination. It's not a big soft-play frame so may not be suited to older very active children. We have attended several parties here and my little one had his birthday here and they have been wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. The outside area is also lovely in warm weather with more things to amuse the children. Can't wait to drop in now that they are open again and try out the new menu the sundaes and Pippins donuts look amazing! :"

"I cannot thank Georgia enough for the incredible job she did with our high-time cake. she was so helpful and friendly from the first day and we couldn't be happier with how the cake came out! we chose carrot cake in two flowing and salted caramel in the other, they were both incredible! to the happiness we have ordered enough for left hand transfers because we cannot stop it! all our family and friends commented on how good it was! we will definitely be back for more!"
