"A comfortable restaurant serving excellent food. I had the duet of beef which, I think, could have only been improved if the steak suet pudding was a steak and kidney pudding. Looking forward to my next visit."

"We happened upon this cafe on a busy bank holiday lunch time. With room to accommodate us all we had lovely friendly service. The chef was really helpful and went off menu for us offering a personal recommendation to spice up regular toasted sarnies. Apart...from the toilets (sorry they weren't great) I would recommend this cafe no frills, hassle free, friendly. May look a bit pricey but you get great portions so value for money is good."

"We came here to get some warm food while we walk around the opposite. we saw that other guests had the sizzling steak like that. we also had the garlic pans, garlic mushrooms and mushroom soup. it was all very well cooked except the mushroom soup that was not to our pleasure. the food seemed freshly cooked and was very delicious! the salat was not too fresh, but was good enough for us. we drank water, but saw that there was a good cocktail menu! the prices were really good for us and the service was really good. the waitress was really nice. it was a beautiful place and beautiful experience. would come back to taste a cocktail and my partner wanted to return the next day, but I voted for Chinese."

"Lovely breakfast .... egg, bacon, sausage, beans, toast and hot drink. Good value for the full Welsh breakfast. Friendly service, would definitely go back. Nice venue."

"Bala was very busy, much traffic and many people over, expected at a bank holiday weekend. After I passed a few places on the other side of the lake, I decided to try the lakeside cafe. the road is a little uneven and can be a little tricky to navigate on a motorcycle, as well as parking, but that did it without incident. I look forward to a nice, cooked breakfast after a 2 hours drive on the bike, but a little late arrived when breakfast stop was served at 11.30 a.m., instead I was offered a breakfast bag, which was a welcome compromise and pleasant. the friendly service and the intention of the sea made the visit worth. well worth a visit, a lot of seating, inside and outside, parking space also. the prices were reasonable in my opinion. look forward to a visit next time in the opposite."

"In the family orientated mayhem of a Porthmadog afternoon, we came here for a coffee and a scone. The coffee was lovely, the scone with jam and cream was heavenly and the vibe, the decor and the staff were all lovely"
