"We usually come here for lunch and it generally is good albeit overpriced. Today when we arrived it was takeaway only. We ordered a ciabatta and 2 sausage rolls. No frills etc and it was £19.60! This is so over priced and not worth the money. The girl who served us was miserable and it wasn’t the best experience! Way over priced and not worth the money! We sat outside while waiting on food and the smell of blocked drains was dreadful!"

"Stopped here while working in the area and was impressed with the quality of the room for the cost. Room is more like a suite with a separate sitting area with a sofa and a large bathroom with a really good shower. Although there is no wifi in the rooms it's free in the bar (good excuse for a drink whilst working) and as the rooms are not over the pub the only noise is from the road outside which goes quiet fairly early. There is no parking on site but plenty of on street parking close by. Staff are all friendly and the restaurant looks quite good although I didn't eat there due to work commitments but had a look around and was impressed with the cleanliness. I will probably book here again if working in the area and would also be happy stopping here with my wife if we come to the area for a break anytime as it's convenient for visiting both Glasgow and Edinburgh without stopping in either city (Glasgow half an hour, Edinburgh one hour countryside on the doorstep)."

"We visited here the first time in a while. What has happened to this place? It’s a dump now! Where’s Anita or Michael? It’s like the life has been sucked out of this place. The guys serving were rough to say the least. I can’t cook and i’ve made better fry-ups than we were served up! Avoid if you can."
