"Amazing food. Served hot, fresh. Everything was cooked to perfection. Calamari Was cooked well with fried Red Pepper And jalapeño, Taziki and Red Pepper Sauce was good. Onto The bread, Fresh Baked Delicious. The Wedge Salad was refreshing and delicious. Both Steaks Perfectly cooked with the Nice Double Baked Potato And Seasonal Vegetables. The Blackened Chicken was amazing. —————— Our Waiter Marina Was amazing! Super friendly and fun! Treated us so well and gave us awnsers to all our questions! Fast and efficient service. —————— They gave us the Billy Miner Pie for free to celebrate A birthday at our table! Thanks! —————— We came out feeling full and fed. "I was told by a middle eastern restaurant owner to check out Darband Restaurant. Now, if another restaurant owner is telling me to check out a competing place within walking distance of him - the food has to be pretty good, right? And right would be correct in the case of Darband Restaurant!I went here with a friend. I had the Ground Beef Kebab with a plate of Basmati rice. The plate had 2 generous sized kebabs which was delicious and priced around $10. My friend had a plate of Basmati rice and a large portion of Chicken kebab which was also very good and tender. I've only been here once so I'll have to check out other menu items at a later date. The restaurant itself is not fancy and typical like most Middle Eastern Restaurants in the $8-14 range. It's a very basic setup but you're here for the food. And the food is great.They also have $6.99 lunch specials which look pretty good. I'll list them off below but I personally wouldn't get the special since it features items I don't care for such as soup and rice pudding. Lunch specials run from Mon-Thurs (12pm-3pm)LUNCH SPECIALS:1 ) Rice mixed with lentils & ground beef, daily soup, and vine leaves wrap (DOLMEH)2 ) Rice mixed with brood bean and chicken, daily soup, and rice pudding.3) Rice mixed with barberry and chicken, daily soup, and vine leaves wrap (DOLMEH)4 ) Rice with Gheymeh stew (beef & yellow split peas), daily soup, & rice pudding.5 ) Meat ball (a giant one), daily soup, and rice pudding6 ) Rice, one skewer ground beef kebab, daily soup, and rice pudding.If i was to get the special, I'd probably pick #6, #4, #5, and #3 (in that order).I'd highly recommend this place to people who live in the Vancouver area of BC. Especially people in the Coqutlam/Burnaby border also known as Burquitlam.I'm definitely going back."

"Really good drinks with various selections and unbelievably cheap price. Very authentic Taiwanese taste. What I like the most is they use fresh ingredients (fresh taro, mango, watermelon, etc. to make smoothies, unlike some stores which use artificial powders. Seriously, you can tell the difference from the texture and the type of sweetness. They also have a lot of warm drinks for winter time. I don't know about other people's experience, but the owner is super friendly to me all the time."

"3.5 STARS Well done Joe on the Cheese Benny $10.50 tax incl. . Sometimes the hollandaise at diners are a hit and miss and they nailed it. I actually enjoyed my pan fried potatoes this time. They were crispy in some parts and still soft in others and they were not deep fried like some. The melted cheddar just added another layer of goodness to the taste."

"This Thai restaurant has been around 8 years. Small, clean, simple décor, great service, and even better flavours. Each of the dishes were well prepared, with wonderful fresh flavours. We order medium spicy, and every herb and spice came through nicely on the palate. The green curry was full of flavour; the prawns were perfectly cooked, the green beans with tofu had a lovely hint of spice. the best part of every dish - no added oil. Every dish was prepared with very little oil. Even their spring rolls. which are house made, have no oil residue - the wrap is crispy, the filling warm, a mixture of meat and vegetables, with no greasy residue. The only dish that we found not quite as great is their Pad Thai (the noodles stick together)- but the rest of their dishes: Impressive- highly recommend for good Thai food in Surrey - North Delta. Restaurant has about 12 tables, most seating 4 people."

"Different cuisine. Very slow service though. Run by a courteous friendly family. But service timing can be painstakingly slow. Food clean. Quality very good. Large hall for parties that can easily accommodate upto a 100 people. Good buffet options."

"Whose great idea is Chinese Indian food? Two of my favorite things become one great thing! Actually, google it some time. There is some interesting history there.I also like a restaurant web site that tells the history of the owners or chefs and the story of Edward and Lilian is worth reading. My server told me that they were both in the kitchen that evening! On this visit I tried the Sabji Curry and the Manchurian Lamb with Vegetables. Both were tasty with crispy vegetables and a bit of heat. Great with a side dish of rice. I was starting to think that everything I had eaten here came with a brown colored sauce but then I realized that I gravitate towards the Manchurian dishes. My sever explained that Manchurian is spicier while the Mongolian is sweeter. I have loved the Fish Pakora here too. So much on the menu! I will never run out of things that I want to try. Friendly and a comfortable dining room. Maybe a colorful garnish here or there would be nice!"
