"Food was terrific! My grandson said they were the best wings he had ever had, even better than Duffs in Buffalo! The Mac and cheese was perfection on a plate! Service was friendly, courteous and fast. The next time we are in NY we will be sure to try the Ox tail, I hear it is amazing!"

"We just moved to the area and where we are looking for somewhere to go for a fish Fry for Ash Wednesday, when our neighbor Julie suggested North End . It was all she said it was clean, modern, excellent service and not just the fish fry amazing, we have home a pizza just for sample wow. The owner promised us the pizza (and everything else), where made with the best ingredients and it showed. EXCELLENT! We will spend time in the bar again, eat and chat more!"

"For a restaurant labeled as Caribbean, they definitely had a decent array of flavors highlighting multiple countries in the Caribbean. The front of house, Luisa, She was very sweet and accommodating. It was our first time in any Caribbean restaurant, and she took her time to help us with selections, and gave us a little overview of what the food was like that they were serving, primarily Dominican, versus what it would be like if it were Puerto Rican varietals. Everything was wonderfully fresh and delicious, everything was served with care and love, you could tell the Chef puts a lot of love in the food! We were passing through, but we will be back because of this. Wonderful experience! I had the eggplant dish, mofongo, passion fruit juice, and shared a serving of the tres leches cake! My husband had fried plantains, a chicken dish stuffed with yuca, and soursop. While we were here, it was not very busy with people seated and being served, but lots of takeout. It's not usual that we would have had such an opportunity to and chat with the staff, we were very lucky in our timing! It's evident that this is a cornerstone restaurant for the community!"

"Joel 's is my favorite hole-in-the-wall place to get take out. Prices are reasonable, everyone is always so nice, and the food is the best Spanish food around. Don 't miss out on literally any of the meat, rice, and bean plates, which you must have with a side of fried plantains! Order, pay, and pick up at the side window. Since COVID I 've only taken food out. Pre COVID, you could dine in, but call ahead to get the status of dining in."

"I waited 20 minutes for 2 cold chicken sandwiches and 4 beef and cheddars. It felt like the owner was serving me didn't want to waste cold chicken and save a punny on cheese.. It will be a long time before I go back there again"
