"My mum I had lunch here on Saturday during a visit to Tavistock had a very positive experience. Once seated outside at a bench table covered by a gazebo for shelter, we were greeted by a friendly waitress who brought a menu to...us. There was plenty of choice, both of hot cold meals snacks. However given that the weather was on the chilly side, we both opted for the All Day Breakfast mum the traditional me the vegetarian option. The food came promptly I was really impressed that, without asking or discussing alternatives, they had given me an extra hash brown with my meal as I didn’t want the egg option (fried). They could have just left it off! We really enjoyed our meal it ‘ticked the box’. Good food good service are not difficult and Polly’s certainly delivered on both. We will definitely go back next time we are in Tavistock. Well done!"

"While we visited my daughter in cornwall, we thought we were a bite to eat. I used morrisons in the south of englands because it is fast and clean. lasagna and salat was fantastic so much salat freshly cut beautiful and saturday morning we stopped...for the breakfast just a speckrolle but it was full of well cooked speck. I was impressed for a supermarket café it was really nice."

"This is my favorite place to visit when we are on holiday in plymouth, located directly in the middle of the beautiful princetown, we landed twice this time. the cream tees are exceptional and this was also the first time that we tried their warm food and we were not disappointed. the whole day breakfast was top notch and the frying dinner they do every day is gargantuan! proper puddings too. can not wait for my next visit"

"We had a trip out to Okehampton and were pleased to see that this little gem of a cafe was open. It’s right by the Dartmoor Museum (also worth a visit) and does wonderful traditional home cooked meals on hot plates! Our breakfast did not disappoint with a butchers sausage, thick bacon, fresh mushrooms and sautéed potatoes included. All freshly cooked and delicious. Dogs are welcome there unlike that place up the road! Jayne and Bill"

"Visited on a Sunday. It was opened earlier that most other places in the area. Very cleaned and warm inside (cold winter's day) and nice friendly staff. Food was fresh and excellent quality. Can't fault it at all. Would definitely return if we were in the area."

"Thoroughly Disappointing. Having booked over a month earlier for 7.30pm mid-week, we arrived just before time and were shown to our table. Our drinks order was taken and delivered quickly, but we waited ages for the waitress to take our food order. To our shock,...we were advised that everything we asked for on the menu was no longer available. Looks like they first cater for the large rowdy parties of 15 people or more before they cater for the smaller number of guests sitting at tables. We decided to call it a day when the noise from the large rowdy party was so loud we could no longer hold a conversation. Guests from other tabes started to share looks across the room of dissatisfaction. One lady had her fingers in her ears as she mouthed to her partner its just so loud over there. So, can't rate the food as we didn't get to order any. We informed the owner how we felt, but he showed little concern. He just took our money for the drinks and no apology offered. but we won't be back as this is the 2nd time we have visited this restaurant. We had problems the first time and thought they may be having a bad night."
