"The manager and a host were present when I entered and they did not greet me. I actually think they glared at me, after a few awkward moments I explained that I made a reservation for 10 via opentable, they had no idea what I was talking about. After checking the reservations they found my party and found room for us. I was waiting by the door and when i went to sit on the couches there were two big piles of spit on the floor. The restaurant was fairly empty, but it took forever to order our first round of food. We were sent a new waitress and she was much nicer and more helpful."

"Similar to its sister restaurant, the food was out of this world. Unfortunately, our waitress never came by our table after we ordered, and she forgot my wife’s drink. It was a busy night—and they appeared short-staffed—but she walked by us multiple times without checking in. All that said, it was a lovely meal and we would go back! "I really wanted to fall in love with this place. The setting, within the Terrain store, is absolutely adorable and quirky basically the inside of a greenhouse, whimsically decorated. Guarantee if you come with a bunch of girlfriends for a fancy pants meal, you 'll all want to whip out your cameras to take a picture. The only reason it got 3 stars was FOR the ambiance. Alas, I made reservations too late and we ended up outside on a fairly steamy day. Lucky for us we got shade. As for the meal PRO TIP Don 't come hungry. Didn 't know this place was famous for its flower pot bread, which is a lovely idea. The actual size of the bread is about the size of your palm so split between 3 people, it 's maybe a bite or two each. Loved the sweet whipped butter. A small glass of lemonade is $5. I ordered the crab quiche, and for an eyewatering $18 dollars for what basically was a six inch tin pie plate surrounded by a few sprigs of spring lettuce, it was disappointing as far as quantity and flavor, which was completely bland. The salad was supposed to be simply dressed, but I couldn 't taste anything. The size of the quiche was barely bigger than the end of a fork. Service was OK, but had to wait forever to cash out and had to go chasing after the server since the hostess refused to help us out after waiting outside, forgotten."

"Friday night quick takeaway order was anything but quick. The staff appeared to look like they didn’t know what they were doing. Our small order took 30 minutes. I go regularly to the Fitzroy restaurant and this Ormond store does not compare at all. Whoever is the manager needs to employ more front end staff as customers were neglected over the many uber drivers. Worst experience never again."
