"My Wife and I stopped in Hutton le Hole for an early lunch and chose The Forge as the menu suited us at that moment. We just could not have chosen a better cafe the food was simply delicious (we had a breakfast), beautifully cooked...and served, as for the quantity, more than sufficient. The cafe was spotlessly clean and well presented and the Owner obviously took great care and pride in making sure that customers left happy and satisfied. We are returning tomorrow as it is the last day of our holiday in North Yorkshire. Brilliant. Sarah and David Murgatroyd. Dorchester, Dorset"

"I regularly visit for lunch while out walking the dog. Food is good value for money, very good quality and tasty. The staff are friendly and polite and are extremely helpful. I would highly recommend this cafe."

"Went here after a run around the outside of Castle Howard and needed a feed and some coffee. The castle has nice food but is expensive and appaling coffee. A quick search on this site and we found The Park. First the food. We both...had the bacon and brie toasted sandwich (the steak pie was sold out but we were there around 14:00). It was delicious, as was the amazing side salad. It was also huge, so the cinnamon toast we ordered was unnecessary... The coffee we ordered was a bit weak, so we asked for an espresso shoto be added. This was done with a smile and improved the coffee! Afterwards we had a chat with owners and bought some fresh baked goods that had a Swedish* twist. Would I go back definitely I think it was Swedish, apologies if not"

"Called in for a coffee while doing the Daffodil walk. Asked for an oat milk latte, which seemed to confuse the staff .... I ended up with a 'normal milk ' latte with a very small jug of cold oat milk to accompany it. I have no idea why I couldn 't make myself understood! The 'normal milk ' latte was very disappointing it tasted very unnaturally sweet though it was made without sugar. I have visited this cafe in the past and had been looking forward to visiting again, as on previous visits it had been fantastic. So, very disappointed this time. Also, the man who appeared to be the 'boss ' was rather rude and made me feel as if I was being stupid, asking for my oat milk latte haha"
