"Food was very soulful and flavourful. Loved the side dishes. The seafood pancake was the right crispness and batter. The snow cheese chicken was delicious. The server was so friendly and always brought out what we needed."

"Our most recent experience was a good one. We ordered from their Cheese selection- cheese with pork belly. My favourite was the Galbitang beef rib) soup, oh so flavourful yet beautiful in its simplicity. The ambience is revamped so it's more modern and edgy. If you get a cheese dish make sure they turn down the heat within a couple minutes or your cheese will burn."

"This was stop #3 in our search and we need to keep looking - too bad as this place was very close to home.The Ramen itself was not bad in the taste department and was very hot (not spicy). I ordered the seafood Ramen. It was supposed to contain prawns (3 very small), scallops (a few miniatures), fish balls (only one), squid (very chewy - almost inedible) and also had 3 strips of imitation crab meat. Noodles were well done and vegetables were good. Overall impression was ok but certainly not great.Service was very slow and it was not as if it could be blamed on being very busy as there were only a couple of other tables with guests at them and it is not a large place."

"When we crave for Korean food, this restaurant is our family's go to place. I read about the reviews before coming here for the first time, and have become its fan for several years. We have also brought visitors here and we felt good that they thoroughly enjoyed the food.It is not a huge restaurant, so peak hours are pretty packed. Do make reservation if you have a party for 5 and bigger, so they can pre-arrange seating.Love their cleanness and we are not Korean, so when eating in a restaurant with lots of Korean people does tell you that you have come to a right place.Good side dishes and kim che. Normally 6 varieties and that is quite generous. Free refills. The dishes tasted very home made and authentic. Well prepared and presented. Seafood pan cake is big and loaded with seafood. All hot items come really hot. All the soups were wonderfully made. My daughter was 7 when we first started coming here and she already love many of the soups. Their menu has English translation and pictures, so very help in helping non-Korean to order."

"I've been to both locations. Awesome! My (Japanese) wife, who you would know is quite critical, if you've read past reviews, is not as in love as I am. However, when we married, it was not a pre-requisite she love everything I love. That being said, she does like eating here, it's just that as of late she has been turned off of noodles. Back to this review. Their broth has improved since the first time I went long, long ago (like 2 years). I love their broth now and the tender BBQ's pork is a nice change from the sometimes bland or tough pork served in conventional Ramen joints (even the reputable ones). My 5 year old daughter is crazy about the Twinkles! Last time I went (5 days ago) they let me try a free sample of their new tofu with gravy dish (I don't know the name) and it rocked!! On that note, the service is fantastic and the servers seem very genuine. So good. I'll see them soon in a few days"

"We’ve been to Hanwoori many times in the past so I’ll just cut to the chase… they serve Korean food in Burnaby. There… I said it. Okay, on with the food! What better way to start off than Haemul Pajeon This seafood pancake is...quite large and befitting the price. Surrounding the seafood pancake is a collection of banchan dishes. The outside of the seafood pancake has a nice crispy exterior. We needed something to warm us up from the cold winter weather that we were having so we also ordered some soup. The Soon Tofu Jjigae was a piping hot bowl of soft tofu, baby clams, shrimp and pork in a spicy broth. It also included a raw egg that you crack into the bowl. The Bulgogi Ddukbaegi was quite filling due to the rice cakes in the soup along with the noodles, marinated beef, and assorted veggies. Fairly solid Korean eats here.
