"Went here for the first time on Valentine's day, I had been looking forward to trying this place for a while as I had heard good things, my friend and I arrived 45minutes before the shop closed and the lady working wouldn't let us sit down because she had just cleaned the seating area, and had no customer service skills what so ever, no smiles, no hellos really not impressed, but the ice cream was great!"

"Composed this restaurant a few times, and it's always full. I did a booking last week for Thursday evening and was surprised that the restaurant was so quiet! The lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful with the menu. Grief

My friends and I order the Panang Curry with Roasted Duck, Chicken Pad Thai and Veggie and Tofu Pad Prik Sod. We also ordered Thai milk teas and a few roasted rice teas. Grief

All the food that came out was pretty decent, the Panang curry was a little light in the texture, but the taste was great and the duck was cooked well. The Pad Thai was pretty standard. The Pad Prik Sod was fine, but I could try it with a meat option next time when it's better. The Thai milk tea was pretty good, but nothing special. I liked pretty much how to roast Rice tea on the menu. Although it is not exactly a thai thing. Grief

We were about about 20 US dollars per person I felt very decent! I would recommend if you are nearby, but it's nothing, what you are far away. The staff are also very accommodating, which has added the very pleasant experiences."

"Really enjoyed this place, the hotpot was great, we chose the pork rib and kimchi and tried the seafood oancake which was filling. Theres also a lot of sides which is a huge plus<br/ <br/ The price is also decent for chatswood, cheaper than most korean places in chatty, best value for money"

"We have been there twice; both times ordered lunch special bbq. The food was excellent. Most of the service is also very good. Some of the waiters appear tired and out of it probably over worked. But overall we like the place and will go there again."

"Soban has joined forces with Towon to create a Chinese Korean restaurant in one and the winners are the diners. I think it works well as people are given two menus and therefore given more choices to satisfy everyone at the table. For us, this was exactly the case as we ordered two Chinese entree 's and a Korean main. The shop frontage still shows two distinct restaurants but the dining room is connected once you get through the doors.<br/ <br/ Spring Rolls good filling of black fungus and shoots but there was simply too much pastry that made the exterior hard and thick where the flavour of the filling was lost.<br/ <br/ Sesame Prawns served as fingers, the prawn mince was thick and well seasoned. Although small prawns were used, at least there was a good layer of it on the toast unlike many other Chinese restaurants that still serve this classic.<br/ <br/ An Dong Jjim dak looked very good on the photo and described as 'Slow steamed marinated chicken in spicy soy sauce with potatoes, onions, carrots etc ' was missing the potatoes, onions and carrots and came with potato starch noodles and dried dates and mushrooms. We questioned whether they gave us the right dish but there was no other dish on the menu this resembled so resigned to the fact it was. It was incredible the description could be so far off. Anyway….the dish was tasty and wasn 't spicy at all unless you chomped into the dried red chills. The sauce was on the sweet side but was rich in a chicken gravy that was soaked up by the chewy noodles.<br/ <br/ With the different concept, we were glad the Kim Chi remained and the complimentary rice was perfect if you were ordering Chinese dishes.<br/ <br/ Saw a beef tartare of some sort, or it may have been Beef Yuke that looked pretty good at another table and something to keep in mind for the next visit!"

"We came because of the reviews and we're not disappointed! Food and staff are very nice. All dishes were well cooked and fresh. 4 people 1 kid ate very well for $100. Next time we'll definitely try the big seafood platters. I'm not entirely sure if you can find table at any time as the number of seats is not that much. So I would suggest reservation to prevent a frustrating trip."

"I have been coming here for the past 2 years. To me the food here is comfort food - food cooked by mum in the kitchen. I can't vouch for all the dishes as I have a low tolerance for spicy food but my korean friends love the Topokki and said the 국(soup) dishes are very similar to that back in Korea. This is my go-to place in Chatswood when I crave for something that is soupy and hot and easy on the wallet.<br>
