"We wanted to try this place. It's a nice place but I have had better pasta meals at other places for less. Disappointed it didn't have a bar. Many locals who frequently go there bring their own wine, beer. It was rather busy though. It's been there for some time so they are doing something right"

"The nachos left a bit to be desired with the chili on it, but the other 6 people with me all really enjoyed their lunch. We'd all certainly go back! Vegetarian options: I'm not a vegetarian, but one in our party is and loved the veggie sammy she got. Kid-friendliness: The back dining area has no bar and a lot of cool decor. I'd go with my buddy and his 10 year old, for sure. Parking: Parking is a big lot right across the street. It might look like it belongs to someone else, but it's for Al's patrons Dietary restrictions: Something for everyone on a decent sized menu. I had zero issues making changes to my order because I didn't like a topping. I doubt you'd have any issues with dietary restrictions."

"I was in altoona pa with my man for his work. I asked the worker at the reception of the clarion motels what would be the best place that is a hole in the wall to tell the people that they eat in it are not from here. we are from southeastern ohio) she replied mmm I know! tim’s american cafe. then gave me the address. I'm so glad she recommended it! it was the best diamant to find in the rough! the steaks are huge and tasty the hoagie was great to my man said. we both really recommend eating this place. it looks like a house, but is a bar and restaurant. a very good one!"

"We had dinner here on Saturday night. our waitress, angela r. was amazing. very happy and attentive. eating was very good! we had salat, which was very fresh, a pizza, stromboli and Italian lemon cake. we were very impressed by each of these and will definitely return when we are in the opposite."

"Jahhhhhh Jethro and Jake can definitely throw away. I and my teammate enjoyed every bite of food we both enjoyed the ribs and will come back to the other flesh and side they have. Mac and cheese was creamy, roasted pimples crispy and well seasoned please try them with whatever is this white sauce that comes with them. My co-driver had the beans and let's just say he never looked out of them as soon as he started. The Hornbrot is the next level we had about 4 a piece that we only had order more?. The food server was on point fast with the refill of our adult drinks and water. Major called to Evelyn our hostess, she was everywhere in this restaurant and helped where she could when she didn't come."

"Mike's Court is one of the best neighborhood bar/restaurant in the area. It's small but comfortable and the atmosphere is very relaxed. It's one of those places where the regulars are friendly and everyone knows your name. The employees are equally friendly and the food is great. Mike, the owner is especially pleasant and can be found behind the bar, waiting tables, and checking to make sure all the customers are happy practically non stop. A few of us stopped in recently and had some fantastic sandwiches (baked Italian, roast beef and meatball subs) and they were all packed to the brim with meat and toppings and were delicious. What really got me were the prices were unbelievable. We each had a great sub, fries and a drink with tax included for less than other big chain places in town charge for just a sub. Frankly I am already looking forward to my next visit. This is one of the hidden local gems in Altoona so if you are looking for something with local ambiance check out Mike's Court."
