"At the beginning of this year I had invited old friends to this restaurant, which is located in a beautiful location on the Rhine directly north of Bonn and overlooks the river and its islands. I had not visited for a few years, but was previously regularly a guest when it was a popular destination for lunch and dinner with its traditional but comfortable premises and its excellent menu with a variety of dishes. So it was with great disappointment that I found the cozy quiet rooms that were converted into a very large and impersonal dining hall, where the lack of furniture and the low ceiling made for so high noise level that conversation was quite difficult. The selection of dishes was very limited, although the steak we chose was well and perfectly prepared. The desert menu was completely forgotten, so we did not stay longer than necessary rather a sad result, which should have been a cozy and pleasant lunch experience. I should add that there were no facilities for the disabled. The restaurant could only leave the building (steps) and the way down to the nearby hotel building, which a waiter had to unlock for us, all that makes it mild is not helpful."

"We were there spontaneously today and we were surprised by the good quality of food. My wife had ordered a funny bosinak and I had a barbecue plate. Both were very tasty. Friendly staff and very attentive. Moderate prices,you get quality at a fair price. We'll definitely be back."
