"We found the cass das doses last week.what a pleasant surprise.Excellent food good beer and wine.All this with a great host Miguel.If you are near canico de baixo and need refreshment its a must.Restaurants are not thick on the ground here so this is s very welcome addition.We were lucky to find it on a walkabout but vrry glad we did.Give them a try."

"We used this place several times whilst waiting for the bus to Funchal, just for a beer, tea and a cake. It is VERY reasonably priced and the service is friendly and courteous. We didn't have a proper meal there but as we were passing at later times we saw that the food looked good and was presented nicely."

"Uma eternidade para nos atenderem..pedimos 3 bebidas para começar...uma poncha (péssima com sumo concentrado) demorou 15min...pedimos um copo com gelo a 2 pessoas diferentes...e tivemos que pedir a terceira vez...sendo uma casa com muitas cervejas perguntamos por uma cerveja de trigo...aconselharam uma que quase não tinha...tivemos que ser nós a ver na carta.Falta de serviço e simpátia...viemos embora sem comer!"

"This place is (as the name suggests) very VERY German. It is frequented by Germans who speak German, want German food, expect the service staff to speak German. One wonders why they leave Germany at all. The Food is hearty and plentiful. Decor is a...bit tired. Service very friendly and they actually speak English and Portuguese! Prices OK but it really is aimed at German tourists. So ... make your mind up on that before going"

"After being disappointed with our hotel meal and a few other places we found this little gem. The food is amazing and the prices are way cheaper than everywhere else! We had a fish soup for lunch, we split one portion for both of us.. that's how massive it was! Russian ravioli's are amazing and you also get a shot of vodka for it! While I'm writing this review I'm waiting on my tiger prawns and my man is waiting on his chicken escalope. Oh, and you get your country flag for the table."
