"Food was typical but one of our large party had a coffee from the hotel and was asked to dispose of it or leave (she was ordering a meal) and some of our group asked for their meals "to go" and were told they couldn't "eat in" with some of us because they need a plate or they had to leave. When i suggested the restaurant had too many rules, staff replied "its the way it is". Is it though?"

"Had servers feeding us drinks, pushing them on everyone, only to have the manager kick one of us out for stumbling. He has a bad leg that causes him to have trouble walking straight. We even spoke with the manager and explained the situation. Will never be back."

"After eating out at several Cranbrook and area restaurants my wife and I opted to try the Rockwater Grill (or Steakhouse). We were glad we did. The restaurant is relaxing and tastefully decorated. The evening we went we ordered the special they suggested. It featured steak, lobster and crablegs. In a word, the food was delicious. The steak was tasty and done just as we ordered it. The lobster and crab was to die for. Meggie, our waitress did an outstanding job of looking after us.After the meal my wife said, "of all the restaurants in Cranbrook that we have tried, I like this one the best so far". We will definitely go back."

"Very friendly right from the start. Food was excellent but one person didnt like their dish and server and manager were perfect. Handled effortlessly, promptly and with a fabulous attitude. Wish all places had staff and management like this. So good i am wondering if it was the owner...lol.."
