"One of very few restuarants in Gabbice Mare (apart from the hotels) but located near our hotel (Hotel Plaza) and an absolute godsend when we arrived at the hotel (only on B+B basis so no evening meal) and it was absolutely pouring down with rain. 5 Minutes dodging through the rain led us to this restuarant. Immediately made to feel welcome although as English speakers we were a novelty as most people who were there and indeed I suspect ever frequented the place were either Italian or German. As I am a Pizza lover and enjoy a beer as well, the choice of Pizza immediately appealed along with the German beer on offer. My wife, less of a pizza lover, had a good choice of alternative meals along with a good selection of starters and sweets. This ranged from pasta dishes, to steaks and even salads. Service was very attentive, especially appreciated as I think we were 2 of about 10 people in total in the resort who were English. The prices were very reaonable. 8 Euro for a massive pizza and 5 Euro for a large beer (1.75 pints). My wife recommended the house wine (Red) and we both enjoyed the free bottle of ice cold Limonella at the end of one nights dining there. They did take away pizza as well if that is what you want and seemed very popular as there was always a steady stream of customers using that option. Loved the place, pity I probably won't be going back to Gabbice Mare as there are too many other places in the world to see...but would recommend this place to anyone. It may look basic, but it is clean, well managed (family run), good service and most importantly has absolutely cracking food !!"
