"Had been told that the Fireside Inn had pickup its game and they were right.Only dinner for 2.Reservation was easy over the phone.We were seated straight away, beautiful open fire had the restaurant warm very nice.Drinks order taken after we had settledMeal Orders were taken after a nice amount of time to check out the menu and have a discussion on what we would have without being pushed or having to look around to be served, big tick.Entrees and mains were very good we both ate everything and felt quite full.But we tried the deserts anyway and this finished of a great meal a great time had.Thank you John very coolTime to pay the bill no problems done very easy.Would we eat here again YES"

"The minute you walk in the door you know you're in for a great time. Even at 6pm, the place was very busy in the bar area. There is an atmosphere that's hard to put into words but it's an atmosphere you only get in...good Aussie pubs...and we loved it! Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Booking for the Bistro on Fridays and Saturdays is an absolute must as there is usually a live music band well there was when we visited but they don't get going till later. The food was surprising very good with generous serves. My 200gram filet steak was cooked perfectly at medium rare and at $25 with the ubiquitous chips and salad was excellent value. All four of us enjoyed our meals. A couple of minor points. Chairs are very basic and uncomfortable Cafe style chairs and tables are just tables. The ladies all thought the wine by the glass prices were on the higher side but maybe that's the pay off for reasonably priced food. We highly recommend the Hibernian Hotel Bistro for a great meal and a great Aussie experience. Will be back,"

"We were recommended this restaurant by our B&B and it didn't disappoint. It was very busy, but luckily they squeezed us in last minute. Waitress was lovely and chatty and food was very nice."

"The food was delicious, i had the fish and chips and hubby had the parma, we both actually thought that this would be some cheap you get what you pay for meal but we where oh so very wrong, the meals where so freshly made that it definitely deserves the 5 stars if not more"
