"Once a cozy , friendly place I often went to for decades.This time I asked for a table for myself and two visitors. The guy at the counter rudely said the menu is on the wall, order and pick up here . Can we sit downstairs? The menu is on the wall, order and pick up here . Turns out there is no longer waitstaff, you find or share a table, everything is plastic (utensils, cups, dinner boxes), the salad is soggy and dressing terrible, the food not close to its previous incarnation and they don 't even inform you when your order in the plastic bag is ready. I was embarrassed I took friends there and will never return. The only good thing at this fast food location was that they didn 't ask if everything was O.K. I miss the Pines! "CTB has a variety of vegan options. However, I felt like the vegan choices were overpriced. Most of the menu items are very easy to make — the item I ordered was basically just bread and seitan; not worth $7.95. That being said, it was tasty and the variety of options is hard to beat."

"We were in beautiful Ithaca for a concert. Made reservations for a Saturday night with another couple. We were early so we went to the bar. The only bartender on at that moment was busy with service tickets and didn't even bother to acknowledge us by saying hello or anything. We were completely ignored until the hostess came to seat us. We enjoyed each other's company for dinner or it would have been a total let down. My salmon entree was over cooked and overpriced, not to mention void of flavor. With all the cookbooks they have... I never would have expected such an unsatisfactory meal. I will return to Ithaca for sure but I will not be returning to the moosewood!"

"Standard Qualifier, I'm a hard guide. Christmas is a very good place to eat, a long-term setting. This was our first visit to Brunch and we enjoyed our time and food this morning. We started with an excellent bowl lobster bisque! My wife had eggs Benedict with gluten-free toast. She said it was very good and thought the Hollandaise sauce could have been a little tangent. I chose the blueberries waffles with homeries. I added an egg over medium on the top of the domestic frits. The waffles might have been a bit dry. I'd get her back, only I would order without powder sugar and I prefer maple syrup. The middle egg was perfectly prepared! The service and waiting staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely a place to visit and enjoy their many offers."

"I have lived in Ithaca for two years and this restaurant was the first time I felt I was a minority. My husband, daughter, and myself sat at our table for 20 min and no one took our order or bring us water. However, a white couple at the next table arrived later than us but ordered 15 minutes earlier than us. The waiters walked passed us multiple times yet they all ignored us. They wouldn’t take our order but took orders from people who arrived later than us. Many people who arrived later than us enjoyed their dinners earlier than we did, and we were the only ones waiting helplessly. We waved at the waiter, and they just told us “please wait,” but it seemed like we were the only ones who needed to wait. If you are not a majority, I strongly advise you not coming during peak hours."
