"Just what was needed after a shopping frenzy at the market.It's down a dark shopping mall and up some gloomy stairs.Once in though the place is buzzing.Big pitchers of beer and wonderful food. I had the fish and chips, unusually conservative for me. splendid chips and an excellent fish in breadcrumbs and spices. nothing British about this. Managed to get a table looking out over the busy market.authentic indian food, everybody loved it."

"Have eaten at this establishment for over 20 years . It was excellent until a few years ago then the owner put the place on rent . At first the standard lowered. NOT in the food taste area but firstly they attempted to introduce a service charge ,then tried many little cheating tricks one being charging for Basmati rice when plain rice was ordered so customers numbers dropped. These faults were rectified and things returned to decent tasty dishes at a reasonable rate . Today Monday January 12th 2016 we visited at lunch time .Arriving at 1150am . Was not open even though opening time is advertised as from 1130am. It quickly opened but we found that ALL the staff of many years, cooking staff included had been replaced with out of state people .The waiter although polite had VERY limited understanding of English and could not even understand WATER I had to take him to the wash basin tap and point .The meal arrived hot and without un due wait and all dishes were served together BUT where were the napkins????. The dishes although OK were not to the former standard . Gravy was thin and watery and the food was not satisfying. Will not be returning or recommending . They also attempted to resurrect the old scam of charging for Basmati Rice instead of the plain rice ordered . Local friends had warned us but we thought we would see for our selves . Should have listened to them and saved our time and money"

"Great place and great food. Go for it if you are looking for quality and quantity at same time. Fast sevrice here is a good usp here. Lacks in taste somerimes. Hope they resolve this."

"We use this little cafe when in Mapsua, it's a great bolt hole! Drinks ice cold, food comes fast and is very tasty & reasonably priced. The home baked snacks are good- mainly pastry but still tasty! We will always continue to pop in when needing a break from the heat & bustling market."
