"We have lived in the Billings area for years but it has been awhile since we went to the Rex. We noticed when we arrived on a saturday night that the bar was very quiet. Not the usual bustling bar. We were greeted by a long time employee (Karla) and seated promptly. It was clear when we were seated that The Rex wasn't the restuarant that it used to be. we ordered a bottle of wine from their wine list and within ten minutes were told that they did not have it. We made another wine selection and again after ten minutes were told they didn't have that either. At that point we ordered a beer and a glass of wine. When our food arrived we were disappointed in the plating. Presentation of food is so important in the restaurant business. Our food was served on a plate that looked like Corelle ware and the food was placed in blobs on the plate. OUR STEAKS WERE COOKED PERFECTLY MEDIUM RARE. Clearly, The Rex has slipped on the simple things that make a great restaurant. It is our hope that The Rex will fix these things as we would like to support this long standing restaurant in Billings."

"I was passing through Louisiana and I decided I wanted a spicy chicken sandwich for lunch and the Google recommended Copeland's. Everyone was dressed in black and white, with long black aprons, and masked up. The place looked very fancy and I was worried about being under dressed so I sat in the bar and watched sports news on the TV. I decided to have the Jazzy Wings appetizer which was oily but delicious, it came with ranch celery sticks. I could have and should have made that my whole meal. The chicken sandwich came on a croissant lightly breaded and fried with a few tomato slices, spicy mayo, a dab of coleslaw. Long story short it is a messy sandwich and you are going to have to wash your hands after, but it was good."

"Full disclosure: this review was a 4/5 until I saw that captain america will take her to the bathroom. that's what's happening. I had a burger, medium rare, with an iron sunny side up, cheese and speck and a loaded baked kartoffel. my wife had bbq garnels with a fried grottenball. the burger was very good when messy thanks to the ei (this is not a complain). backkartoffel was good, but even though it was hot, it did not melt the cheese very well; some types of cheese does not melt super easy. the garnels were a little simple, implying that most of the taste comes from the BBQ sauce, which was good, but very fish. the fried grotten were delicious. as an appetizer we had cheese and bacon frits with acidic and one side of ranch. while they look a little smooth, they are actually delicious as well; the cheese sauce was very good (it had dropped to the bottom of the fry pfahl). a beautiful hybrid casual restaurant with a beautiful taste; the decor was tasteful, but the personal was comfortable in T-shirts and jeans. and above all, captain america watching her potty."

"Went in specifically to get a patty melt for lunch because it had been a couple years since I had one. Not at all what I remembered. The staff was friendly provided pleasant service. The kitchen seemed to be complete chaos, it was so many people back there. The sandwich was semi fresh barely had the special sauce which to me is what makes the patty melt. I got a root beer it was flat, tried the strawberry soda, also flat had to settle for sweet tea which was not fresh either. The fries were fresh hot."
